Not such a good day yesterday. Suffering with morning sickness - well all day nausea really- not every day but feel awful some days. Improves with food but only for a while then worse again. Which SHOULD be good for losing weight, problem is I'm craving all the wrong things - bread and salty crisps especially! Last night ended up having chip shop chips!!
Anyway better day today, not as nauseous. Am going to brave wi tonight and see what the damage is!
For those doing red days could you give me an idea of your meals? Was quite shocked at how little carbs were allowed - 35g pasta??? Thinking might be good to do a red day occasionally.

Huffpot · 17/07/2013 16:42

onceipop I was the same with my last pregnancy and could only stomach toast and crisps Blush so I stopped going to SW. I know someone who got morning sickness wrist bands from the chemist and said they helped her so might be worth a shot?

SalaciousCrumb · 17/07/2013 20:30

Hi all, I wi this evening and found I lost 0.5lb. At least the scales r going in the right direction!

onceipopicantstop · 17/07/2013 21:00

Thanks huffpot I'll look into them if things don't settle. Good news is I'd sts at WI so the missed meals on sickness days must have balanced out the non-diet days!! Different class tonight and much preferred the leader so I'm going to switch classes. Don't see any need to tell them I'm pregnant at the moment, will hold off for a few weeks at least.
Feeling motivated after tonight's class but hubby has just suggested a night in a hotel (with air con!!) on the weekend for my birthday, so will have to be exceptionally good for the next few days!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/07/2013 21:30

Well done losers and on the STS once

I put on 1lb last night but thats the wagon fall catching up with me Sad

Still must refocus this week - have signed up for the Shine walk in London on the 28th September - but only the half marathon! I figure any weight off is less to carry for it. Will need to start training soon so hopefully that will give the weight loss a boost!

Huffpot · 18/07/2013 08:03

Its hard when RL interferes Blondes but do keep popping in Thanks

IsaacCox · 18/07/2013 09:54

Well done losers :)

That 1lb will easily come off Huffpot :)

I've weighed this morning and lost 1lb. Really thought I'd put on so was surprised. I've been so close to the 1 stone mark for weeks, I just want to get there :( I have so much to lose and want to be as close to target as possible by the end of December. Really need to up my game.

MrsHelsBels74 · 18/07/2013 19:42

I can breathe a sigh of relief..maintained today which I don't really deserve!

IsaacCox · 18/07/2013 19:45

Well done MrsHelsBels :)

Today-
B- 2 alpen lights HEB banana
L- banana
D- pizza topped chicken (cheese HEA) and roast veg
Still got to have another A and B though not sure what to have...
Snacks- mini twister ice lolly 2.5 and mini pepperoni 1

IsaacCox · 18/07/2013 20:26

Just had 200 of chocolate oat drink for HEA and 2 slices of bread and butter for HEB and syns.

I've found a great new snack- a 25g bag (but there's quite a bit in it) of Metcalfe's skinny topcorn (not a typo Grin)- sweet and salty popcorn is 115 cals for the bag so 6? syns for the lot and it's really nice. Oh I got it from tesco :)

IsaacCox · 18/07/2013 20:26

200mls

TheDetective · 18/07/2013 21:59

I weighed in this morning at a different group. 1.5lb off this week, and got my club 10.

Sadly, I have easily put that back on and probably more!

Today is the first day we have said 'sod the diet!'. It is DP's birthday. We've been strict for 3 months, with no blow outs.

But I think we may have done it in spectacular style Blush.

I've had a hash brown from McDonalds this morning.

Then we went to Chiquitos for lunch. Both me and DP got a sharing platter of nachos. EACH!!! Blush plus we had another starter (potato skins) each. And then had churros for dessert. But it isn't all bad. I had diet pepsi with it. Grin

Felt so sick and ill after it all. I feel the same after anything cooked with oil now. It just makes me feel terrible, churning insides. But it was worth it for those moments!

Shared an ice cream (Mr Whippy) with DP, and I've just had a Krispy Kreme Donut.

Waiting for our takeaway to arrive. I'm having a chicken kebab, but will leave the bread not sure there is much point all the damage I have done today! but will have a few slices of garlic bread, and some spicy chicken wings.

Had a fab day of gluttony though. Next one in November - my birthday!

You know, I could do SW forever, as a day like today would keep me in check for a long time after.

Just hope the damage won't be too severe. I'm guessing I've had about 150-200 syns today. Blush

TheDetective · 18/07/2013 22:01

As a note, do you think it would be worth doing a very low carb week? Perhaps trying red/green days in an effort to make up for such a baaaaaaaaaaad day?!

muminthecity · 18/07/2013 22:03

I was a bit crap yesterday, had lots of biscuits at work and half a pack of cocktail sausages Blush.

Been much better today:

B - Banana
L - Chicken kebabs with rice and salad, syn free houmous and yoghurt dressing. Feta cheese in the salad = HEA
D - 3 low fat sausages (1.5), baby new potatoes, mange tout, baby corn and salad with ketchup (1) and mayonnaise (1)
S - Satsumas, watermelon, Muller Light, mini milk ice lolly (1.5) and 2 rocky road bars (HEB)

Also did a 1 hour workout at the gym.

doineedhelp · 19/07/2013 07:27

Hi muminthecuty can you please post your houmous recipe...
B branflakes strawberries and milk
L tuna salad yogurt and fruit
D prawn stirfry

muminthecity · 19/07/2013 13:52

doineedhelp - I don't have the exact measurements, it is a recipe my consultant told us about at WI this week. Here's what I used

1 tin of chickpeas
2-3 big spoonfuls of fat free Greek yoghurt
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp cumin
Black pepper
Squeeze of lemon juice

I just chucked it all in the blender and whizzed it up. It was lovely!

goodbyeyellowbrickroad · 19/07/2013 14:01

That houmous recipe looks good! Will definitely be giving that a try.

Going away for the weekend so will be eating out a lot over the next few days. Going to take a lot of willpower to make healthy choices. Plan on doing a lot of walking so that should help.

Huffpot · 19/07/2013 14:18

Mmm that houmouss (completley cocked up the spelling!) sounds delicious. I think I need to try that

Well done on the club 10 detective and yum for the wicked feast...mmmm nachos!

doineedhelp · 19/07/2013 15:56

Thank you muminthecity going to make that this weekend Thanks

TheDetective · 19/07/2013 21:37

I still can't eat properly today! Feel full from yesterday Hmm.

Downside was I put 4lb on by this morning. But by this evening I am back to only 0.75lb above my WI from yesterday.

I added up the calories and it was approx 4600 Shock. Oooops!

No syns for me all week, I don't even want them. I feel satisfied with yesterday still!

Does anyone else calorie count along side SW by the way? I started doing it on wednesday, just so I can see what I am having each day. It isn't an exact science :( difficult when you are making homemade recipes and don't know the exact quantity of what you are eating.

Wednesday I had 1260, which according to my fitness pal is just under what I should be having to lose 1.5lb a week. Today I've had 850. Although I seriously don't think I've had that much.

I've only eaten 2 apples (100 calories each? Really?!) and I made SW fajhita chicken for tea, which was peppers/mushroom/onion, chicken breast, spices, shredded lettuce with cheese (HEA) and a handful of SW chips on the side.

Couldn't face anything til dinner time, and now I'm full again!

TheDetective · 19/07/2013 21:53

Oh, I forgot to add that Asda have Alpen Light bars on offer for £1! I will be stocking up!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/07/2013 22:04

Happy Birthdsdayy Blondes!"

I am just back from the end of termm work party. Am very, very driink which must mean I have been bery, very bad. I only ate salad but had ots to drink. Pimms, wine, vodka and malibu wiotrh proper non diet coke and lennonade. Oops!

doineedhelp · 20/07/2013 10:08

Happy birthdayblondes

I am very unhappy today, I have been saintly all week, no syns at all as used 91 sat and sun and I lost 0.5lb at class, so a grand total of 6lbs in 8 weigh ins, I just don't know what else to do. I had to leave class too as had wobbly chin and knew I would cry, how fucking stupid is that!
To make it worse there are people there loosing 2/3/4lb and saying oh I don't know how that happened as I have eaten or drunk XYZ, it is just soul destroying.

If I was being naughty on it then fair enough but I really haven't, I just don't know how long i can carry on doing this. I am 5ft 8in and today weigh 11st 10.5lb, I want to get to 11st. Is it worth trying the old red diet (never done it) sorry for the moan but it really has upset me, just seems too unfair Sad

Any advice would be gratefully received Thanks
