Oh my life. I don't want to think about what I have eaten this week. All out of boredom/convenience as well. Culminating in a mini Magnum yesterday.

My scales say 2lbs on since last Saturday. Weigh in is Wednesday. Can I turn this round??

doineedhelp Do you think it was because you had no syns for the rest of the week? Maybe your body panicked and held onto fat because you were being so good? (even though I know you were just doing damage control) Thanks

I hope not huff I've done this before and my leader said as long as i don't go over the 70 -105 syns a week it is fine to use syns like this and that lots of people do.

I prefer to enjoy the weekend and be good the rest of the week, doesn't bother me having no syns all week. Do others here do that?

I'm trying red this week and will see how I get on although I hate not having carbs Sad

Open to any other advice, thanks

I put on 1lb today. Not really a surprise as it's been the last week of term so there have been extra things on. Tuesday I climbed a mountain and felt I deserved the HUGE ice-cream I had afterwards, which was free because the shop was very grateful for the 200 ice creams the kids bought. Then Wednesday we had a big party to celebrate the end of a successful school year, paid for by school, where wine and food was plentiful and all my good intentions went out the window. Then Friday we had a buffet shared lunch in my department, so MORE syns that I couldn't afford to eat. I think I'm just going to have to be glad I didn't put more on.

This week I'm going to have to be extra good all week because I'm going away for a wedding next weekend. I'll stick to about 5 syns per day so I have roughly 70 for Friday night/Sat morning, then use most of next weeks syns for the actual wedding on Saturday.

So busy this week. I haven't been on line since Thursday so will read the thread back later.

Lost 1.5lbs and got my half stone award. Really pleased as I'd been soooo bad over the weekend. And did it again last night, pizza, gorgeous pasta salads dripping in oil, profiteroles with far too much chocolate sauce!

I think this is how my diet is going to be. Tbh I don't feel at all deprived when I have to cut back because I know I've had a huge pig out. I'm losing weight so until that changes.....

Just seen the forecast and it looks like today is the last nice day for us Sad. Perhaps I'll be able to get back to normal eating.

Just weighed myself this morning, and thank goodness! My weight is back down to what it was on thursday before our massive pig out!

I would have been happy with 2lb on at WI this week, but I could actually get a loss??!

I'd be over the moon for just 0.5 off!

Fairy that is how I am feeling too. We've been doing it for 3 months now, and thursday we totally went off plan and had whatever we wanted. I had well over 250 syns Blush. But ever since I've not wanted anything that I would have to syn. I would use syns in my dinner if needed, but I don't want chocolate or anything else as I feel satisfied from my blow out! Like you say, I don't feel deprived. :)

TheDetective I will be so Envy if you manage to lose after that lot when I have gained.

Doineedhelp somebody at my group does what you do and is finding her weightloss is going very, very slowly. Our leader did suggest that she'd get better losses if she ate more consistently, so spread out her syns more over the week. She's trying this week to have a bit less at the weekend and eat a bit more during the week I think she said she'd try to stick to about 5 syns a day and save about 50 for the weekend, I'll let you know how she gets on.

Now I'm on holiday I will hopefully be more able to control my own eating, as I'll be the one in charge of making picnics for days out and I'll be able to choose ice lollies rather than ice creams when we're out. I'm buying the dds a big trampoline for the garden too, so I'll hopefully have a few turns on that for some body magic (as well as sorting out the mess in the garden to find a space to put it). I find it easier to get out walking and doing exercise when that pesky "work" doesn't take up most of my day too. I'm going to go for the silver body magic over the six week holiday.

I will be Envy too! I've stuck to plan all the way through and had 1 week where I have gained, 1 week STS, and a couple of 0.5lb losses :(

So if I lose this week I will be Envy and Confused.

Oh my goodness, I don't even remember posting on here in my drunken state the other night! I'm sorry Blush.

I was really good yesterday until about 9pm when my friend popped in with a bottle of rum and I helped him polish it off Blush. Been to a barbecue today and managed to be really good, had a lamb kebab (3 syns) a chicken kebab (1.5 syns) and a huge pile of salad with feta cheese (HEA.) I didn't touch the burgers or sausages so feeling rather proud of myself!

I also got up early yesterday despite my hangover, went straight to the gym and spent a couple of hours sweating out all the alcohol! Then I did the same this morning, followed by a 3 mile walk around the park. I'm going to the gym tomorrow and Tuesday as well as my water workout class tomorrow night, so really hoping for a good loss on Tuesday despite my alcohol binge this weekend!

Not such a good weekend for me! Went to the cinema yesterday and was very proud of myself as took a bag of cherries with me instead of getting my usual large bag of pick n mix!! But then went downhill rapidly at the hotel when faced with the buffet for dinner and cooked breakfast this morning and pastries Sad. Then continued today by eating alot of cake! Only consolation is I've only drunk water - but only because I'm not allowed alcohol!! So have written off this weekend and will have to refocus tomorrow!!

summer thanks, be good to know how she gets on. I find I always have something on during the weekend, family get togethers, meeting with friends etc so need this to work, surely if you don't consume more than the recommended syns over the week that should be all that counts?

My leader says she will get me to fill out a SAS form this weekend? Don't know what that is but will give it a go...

doineedhelp I don't really feel qualified to advise you as I am a relative newbie but I have had a similar weight loss as you and it is fairly depressing! And I have no more than 70 syns a week maximum. Are you on the extra easy? if I was on EE there is NO WAY I would lose weight, it is slow enough on the red. On the positive side, I am never hungry so I am just going to keep plodding on. What on earth is an SAS form? The mind boggles!!

I know how you feel. It's disheartening to be good /within syns and then sts or lose a lb where others lose 3/4/5lbs a week and eat crap

I've been off sw past few weeks as too much going on in rw and thoroughly enjoyed being bad on my birthday - thank you for good wishes :)

Gonna try and be good this week - have my party sat enjoy and eat and drink) and then be tough with myself and try and lose se weight - very slowly at a lb a week

Seems others are pigging out / struggling - sure summer holidays don't help

And I was told as long as have 70/105 syns a week doesn't matter how you have them. Some save them up - others have daily

Well, things went from bad to worse over the weekend. Yesterday I ate rubbish, just for the hell of it. I'm suffering today with a delicate stomach IYKWIM...! I'm guessing that my body isn't keen on all that fat etc anymore. Starting to re think using all my syns and most of next weeks in one go.

Fairy I'm glad you said that - been suffering the same if I have anything cooked in oil. My body can't take it. Gives me a dodgy stomach for a good few days. Hmm

Okay, so after the blow out on thursday, I have lost 1lb. WI not til Thursday. I could still lose further before then.

It doesn't make ANY sense.

What I have done differently is calorie counting using my fitness pal.

I've been having around 1100 calories a day. Ignoring Thursday!

I am going to do SW plus calorie count for the next 3 weeks and see what happens.

Holidays diet coke chicken is yummy - tho I prefer Pepsi max

Cook chopped chicken

Add can of Pepsi max
6 tbsp passarta
Dash of Worcester
Stock cube
Herbs

I add onions peppers and carrots and baby corn

Simmer for 30ish mins and Serve with rice or noodles or over jacket

WI this morning. + 4.5lb Hmm completely understandable as it was DD2's christening this weekend - much pastry, cake, cheese and alcohol consumed. Think I will have a red few days to get things moving.

Am a bit Hmm about a gain, but like I said not surprised. Also, having been what my MIL would describe as a 'big girl' for years I cannot describe how great it was to hear her say Ma'am you've REaLLY lost weight! I also got lots of compliments from people at the party saying I looked great so am riding high on that.

onwards and upwards!

Morning ladies, back on track now. I had a predominantly super free day yesterday, which was pretty boring, but essential after the weekend!

holidays, the diet coke/ Pepsi chicken is lovely.I used caffeine free diet coke once and it wasn't as nice. I've also added to 5 spice, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots to give it a Chinese twist. The diet fanta chicken is delicious, and probably my favourite SW recipe.

I've always substituted passata with tinned toms, thinking it wouldn't make any difference. It does! Passata reduces to a much thicker sauce. I'll def be buying it in future.

Thank god the weather has changed here, making lots of different super free soups. Yesterday I made gazpacho. It was ok, I usually make the ainsley Harriet one with about 1/2 a pint of olive oil, so took a little bit of getting used to!

Morning all. You'll all be really proud of me, I took dd2 to the beach yesterday (good job as I think it's the only nice day we'll have all summer) and I bought her an ice cream from the fabulous shop, WITHOUT GETTING ME ONE Shock I had to help her a little bit but a few licks is much better than the double scoop with a flake that I would normally have. I managed to stick to just 4 syns, unheard of for me.

I'm about to make sw quiche and sw chips for lunch, and I think we might have diet coke chicken for dinner tonight. That would make today completely free Shock

Oh, and I've figured out how to wear a pedometer without constantly losing it. Attach it to the wires of my bra between my boobs. I've worn it like that for 3 days and haven't dropped it once.Grin

Okay, so I think calorie counting is really working for me. Hmm

The weight is falling off. Confused

Possible I need more control than 'free' foods etc. The CC has meant I have eaten the same meals as usual, but stopped me snacking in between on free but still higher cal foods. And still shocked to find out how many cals in a banana and apple :(

I realised that the last only time I lost weight was on the 'misery diet'. I was miserable, and only eating what I needed to survive, rather than eating for pleasure. I ate whatever I wanted but still lost weight.

I guess doing SW for a healthy approach to eating, plus calorie counting might be the best way for me to stay in control?
