I wanted to share something with you all - I discussed this at group last week, and put a picture up on our FB group for the Consultant to see first. I don't think I have mentioned it on here yet but I'm tired, so who knows!.

Bread. So the book says you can have 60g of wholemeal bread.

Or 2 slices of a 400g Warbutons/Nimble etc loaf.

So has anyone actually weighed a slice of Warburtons bread? Because I did. And it was 22g (on average). I felt so cheated!

So I asked the Consultant. And she said she hadn't heard of it before. But 60g of wholemeal is right. So I measured it out. I cut the crust off the third slice, but it means you can have almost 3 slices. Infact, you can have 4 if you cut all the crusts off, which I do sometimes, as I'm not so keen on them.

Not that it really helps me right now. As I think I have better losses when I have less bread. So I'm not putting it to the test this week. I will next week though!

When I say I cut the crust, I cut off two sides of the crust. So not even the whole thing. :)

I've been good so far this weekend (still trying to undo Wednesday's pizza-induced damage!)

However, I ate out at Wetherspoons today but I'm not sure how to syn it, can anyone help please? I had chicken and pepper skewers (free I think, as they were grilled and didn't seem to have any oil/fat on them), with rice (also free I assume?) and salad. Didn't eat the peri peri sauce that came with it, but did have 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce (no idea how many syns?) and a little bit of their salad dressing.

For dessert I had a fruit salad with frozen yoghurt. Can't find any syn value for frozen yoghurt on the website at all. Any ideas?

Hope everyone else is having a happy, healthy weekend Smile.

I have been so bad this morning. But with free food, so it's okay right?!?!

I cut all the crusts off my bread. So I had 4 slices of crustless 400g wholemeal toast. And 4 SW fried eggs on top of each!!!! Blush

Why?

Celebration! I'm at my lightest weight in quite a few years! 2lb off since Thursday.

The less I try the more I lose.

Go figure. Confused

Report
TheDetective · 30/06/2013 14:42

I forgot to say the 4 slices made 60g (Nimble) with the crusts off!

So you could have toast with breakfast, and a small sandwich at lunch if you really wanted. Grin

Free food is always ok Detective. It's never bad, you are allowed to eat as much of it as you want. Did you really have 16 eggs though (4 on each slice of toast) or did you just have one on each, so 4 in total? 4 seems reasonably normal to me, but I'd be in awe if you'd managed 16.

Report
TheDetective · 30/06/2013 16:12

Hah! It does read that way I guess! No, I had 4 eggs one on top of each slice Grin.

I could eat a lot of eggs though!

It's easy Grin.

DP just made a quiche with quark and eggs. It was a massive omelette, basically. It was quite yummy!

When you guys all started, did you believe you were going to lose weight? And did you?

I've eaten so much yummy food this week, so much better than the processed crap I lived on before.

I'm a bit paranoid that I'm gonna go for my first weigh in having gained 7lb!

Report
MamaChubbyLegs · 30/06/2013 18:54

B - Porridge with water (HEB) and grapes
L - Potato salad (made with fat free yoghurt), massive salad and some grapes
D - DP's egg/quark concoction and another massive salad

Still struggling fitting in my HEs

L- Broccoli and cheese pasta and sauce, jalapenos, bacon cheese 6 pomegranate
D- Indian takeaway- chicken dopiaza 7, boiled rice and salad

I've been swimming for 3 hours today so hopefully will have done some good.

Mama, the first time I did SW, I didn't believe that eating that much could possibly make me lose weight but it did. It works, have faith :)

Morning. Another 1lb off for me. Had a party y'day and my tummy was killing me by the evening after over indulging so I'm happy I lost anything.

Question - when you look something up and it says Bagels 50/50, 4 pack, 85g each 11 syns. That's 11 syns per bagel isn't it? Oops ...

I have stuff in the fridge for a big salad. Wondering what to have with it, on a green day. Any ideas? Am going to make sure i have my scan bran today as well.
