I lost 4.5lbs Smile

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 04/05/2013 13:16

Well done to everyone, some great results this week. I lost 1 and 1/2 lb so back to 1 lb off target.. Sigh - these last few lbs are not going anywhere fast Grin

onceipopicantstop · 04/05/2013 13:33

Loving following everyone's progress and is keeping me motivated!
Thanks for the blondes quiche recipe - have bought a tub of cottage cheese ready to try Smile

Daisybell1 · 04/05/2013 19:15

Everyone's losses are very inspiring! A sneaky peek this morning showed a 2.5lb gain Sad

FourLittleDudes · 04/05/2013 19:55

I made the syn free scan bran cake today. With quark and sweetener topping. I read all the reviews and it looked good but it wasn't very nice at all, it was edible but not enjoyable

FourLittleDudes · 04/05/2013 21:50

So, eating scan bran may not have been the best idea just spent half an hour on the toilet! ......

Hopeforever · 04/05/2013 22:40
Sad Just bought some Scanky bran!

Better news, another 2 1/2 lb gone.

FourLittleDudes · 05/05/2013 00:14

Well done on your loss Smile

The scan bran cake I made was

5 slices of scan bran (free on extra easy when used as a HexB)
3 eggs
3 large grated Carrots
7 tablespoons of sweetner
3 teaspoons of ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon mixed allspice

Pour boiling water over the scan bran, leave for 1 minute and drain the water off. Mash the scan bran.

Add the carrots, spices and sweetener and mix together, add the beaten eggs.

Pour into microwaveable cake dish and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes (ish)

Topping -

Tub of quark
Vanilla flavouring
Sweetener

Mix to your own taste and spread on the top.

Lots of people rave about it Hmm but I just thought it was ok, nothing like a proper cake, but at least it makes the scan bran easier to eat.

After a nutella binge on fri night, back on track! Still resisting the wine, which is unheard of for me ( 2 weeks exactly since any passed my lips).

I cooked spicy chicken burgers last night( from the website). They were.....interesting to say the least! Just pre cooked and chopped runner beans, spring onions, curry powder and chicken mince. Mixed together and grilled. For some reason they tasted really aniseedy. I won't be trying them again!

Going to a family bar b que this afternoon so hoping I don't lose it. I'm having a red day so planning to stick to quorn/cardboard burgers and made some free bar b que sauce. I've had a huge free cooked brekkie and planning to have fruit for lunch so I can save my B's for bread rolls.

This lovely weather has def motivated me to stick to it, no more hiding the wobbly bits under a cardi!!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2013 09:45

Well done on the losses - def treat yourself

I get my nails done every 3 weeks anyway - just as well or the way my diets been going I would never get a manicure lol

BBQ today at a charity event - will try and eat chicken rather then sausages and burgers

Sun is shinning :)

One week left and then holiday and know I will gain most of the weight I've lost 'sighs'

WI early tomorrow morning then a naughty, naughty day. Bacon & chilli cheese sandwiches (mind you I can count that as HEx A & B). But going out for a curry tomorrow night. Naan bread!!!!!

FourLittleDudes · 05/05/2013 16:00

I seem to have forgotten I am on a diet today Blush

I've had:

B - Fruit and Fibre with Skimmed Milk, strawberries, raspberry, banana and blueberrys with a fat free muller yoghurt.

L - Harvester Mixed Grill, with Chips. Lots of syns!

A walnut whip
A four fingered kitkat
A huge bag of giant buttons
Half a greggs sausage roll
Two sugars in a cup of tea

Blush
Fisharefriendsnotfood · 05/05/2013 19:35

I wouldn't worry about the 2 sugar fourdudes Grin

I've had a massive chocolate cupcake as housebound with sick dc so baked.. Now having huge glass of wine and contemplating a 2nd cupcake

Curlywurlysareyum · 05/05/2013 21:24

Well done ladies!! Lots fab losses!!

I was out on fri night and managed not to drink much compared to usual and even left some food on my plate!!

Tried really hard yest and today to be good turning down a Chinese tonight with DH and watching ds and dd eat a mc ds before I had my dinner last night. In the past if I went out like that I'd have kept eating all weekend. So now just to get through the bank holiday tomorrow as I'm sure ice cream and Chips will be everywhere!!

I hoping even to sts on tues night but determined I don't want to see a gain.

Bought some holiday clothes and size 14 fitting me in some shops. It seemed it took me a stone and 3 quarters to go from an 18 to 16 but another 5 lbs and I'm into a 14 (in some shops) - which is weird but its inspiring me to get this next stone off!!

Well done everyone - this thread really keeps me at it!!!

Daisybell1 · 05/05/2013 22:36

Well done on your losses! What is scan bran?

Dietary mojo completely absent here today. Which is ironic as I needed to find some trousers for my holiday, and ended up crying in Evans as none in any other shop fitted and I felt fat and flabby. Evans lady was fab and mopped me up and talked me into a lovely pair of linen wide legged wonders (in a smaller size than I was trying on elsewhere!)

Curlywurlysareyum · 06/05/2013 13:31

Daisy - I used to feel like u did shopping yesterday and my mum could never understand why it didn't make me stick at it. Instead I gave up and ate more. Glad Evans lady helped you.

Scan bran can be bought at sw class or apparently at holland and Barrett. They are could for keeping regular (a problem I def had first two weeks at sw) and can be ate as 5 for heb or 1 syn each. If u look back at this thread there was a lot of debate about the pros and cons (they don't taste the best!!)

Jinty64 · 06/05/2013 14:25

Just wrote a long post and lost it but basically Daisy has my empathy. I too hate clothes shopping and I suggested ready prepared fruit from the supermarket for Curlywurly whilst the kids eat ice cream. It gets me through.

I lost 4lbs this week so I am really pleased after last weeks disappointing 1lb.

iklboo · 06/05/2013 15:13

2lb off at weigh in today. But I'll put it all back on having a naughty, naughty day. But I've got till next Monday to shift it again.

Curlywurlysareyum · 06/05/2013 17:50

Thanks Jinty. We ended up not going out for long so I managed to be good. I admire all of u who are at home with kids as I def find it easier at work.
Jinty and iklboo fab loses!!

Fairygen · 06/05/2013 19:08

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday.

I managed to survive 2 bar b ques over the weekend, using only 10 syns each (on puddings). Thought I may have pulled it back after 'nutella- gate', but unfortunately not!! Not due to weigh until thurs am, but so far sts. Better than a gain I suppose, and I've still got 2 days.

Made a scrummy 'ice cream' earlier, I think it's Jamie Oliver's recipe. Whizz some frozen fruit in the food processor , add fat free natural yog.
I added some sweetner because it was really tart. I think next time I'll try freezing it for a bit because it's quite runny, but lovely.

EggsMichelle · 06/05/2013 20:40

Fairygen that ice cream sounds lovely, think ill give that one a go. My first time on this thread, been at sw for two weeks and lost 4lbs so far. Not as much as some of your epic loses, but it's in the right direction!

laughalot · 06/05/2013 21:07

Wow everyone is doing so well !!!!! Blondes very Envy about your holiday. Well went holiday shopping today and it felt great I have lost just over 2 stone at the beginning of Jan I was pushing into size 18 clothes and today I have bought some size 12s great feeling !!!!! My big boobies do get in the way Grin. Had a naughty weekend with being away was good last night and had a salad and at breakfast I had poached eggs on toast whilst hubby had cooked brekkie but then had a massive thorntons ice cream for lunch with a bag of doritos and a chippy supper oopsssss !!!

muminthecity · 06/05/2013 21:18

Well done to the losers! I have topped off my bad week with an even worse weekend Blush Sad

I had lunch and dinner out today, I did choose much healthier dishes than I would have before SW but I have no idea how many syns I had! For lunch I had pita and houmous with carrot sticks at a lovely little cafe in the park, unfortunately I also had a handful few of DD's chips.

We went to Harvester for dinner and I had a grilled chicken breast with jacket potato and salad, which isn't too bad but I did have a bread roll, coleslaw and thousand island dressing with my salad! Blush Still, could have been worse I suppose.

I've got my WI tomorrow, I reckon I've put on at least a couple of pounds but I'm planning to get straight back on the wagon and lose them again next week.

muminthecity · 06/05/2013 21:19

Also, I'm going to Zizzi's for dinner with a friend on Wednesday, does anyone know what the best dishes to have are? Do they do anything SW-friendly?

3girls1madboy · 06/05/2013 21:27

Hi all...hope everyone had enjoyed the bank holiday!!
Woohoo for all losses Smile
Angry for gains
wi this morning and I've lost another 2lb...1 away from 2 and a half stone! Went into New Look today and bought 2 dresses in a size 14 Shock Very pretty and flattering.

Had a bbq this evening with all homemade burgers and kebabs, coleslaw and cous cous, but had a couple of cheeky glasses of Pimms, but all the fruit in it made it very sw friendlyGrin . Oh and I had a twirl bar, but they've been in the fridge and nothing beats cold, hard milk chocolate Grin
Have a cracking week folks xxx
