Just a very quick check in as my ds has a friend for sleepover eeek he is loud lol !!!! Lost 1 lb so still got another 1 lb to go for my 2 stone.

ThePigOfHappiness · 19/04/2013 22:47

Hi, I joined SW on Thursday. I've about 2 stone to lose and feeling positive about it. Finding the evenings very hard though with no bickies or chocolate, anyone got any tips? It's purely boredom eating but still habit at this stage...
Hope to find lots of support on here, early days for me :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2013 22:53

welcome pig

bean tenerife - have friends out there, went twice last year there - prob where i gained so much weight eating cheesey garlic bread and drinking all day and night Blush

I had 2 glasses of wine last night and feel hungover! I think I've lost all tolerance to alcohol, which I suppose is a good thing but I do like a glass of wine or 2 every now and then. Hopefully its the left over flu hanging around thats made me feel this bad.

Well done on all the losses so far. So jealous you're off to Tenerife Blondes I'm desperate for sun and I normally hate the heat.

Marmalade I think SW EE works really well but sometimes if I fancy a snack I go for a Mullerlight (99 cals, free) then realise I can have a bag of low syn crisps/ popcorn (80 cals, 4 syns) for fewer calories. I know that there's no nutritional value to the second option but for a late night snack I don't mind. I always syn them though. My point is SW EE is great but can be misleading, it actually says in the book that just because something is free doesn't mean you should eat unlimited amounts of it eg bananas and pasta. Maybe post a few daily menus for us all too criticise look at.

Furball · 20/04/2013 07:23

ThePig - I know it doesn't compare to choc or biscuits but hows about chopped raw carrot? As they are crunchy I find them surprisingly moorish and gives your mouth something to munch.

or cucumber, peppers, celery etc.

Helenagrace · 20/04/2013 08:38

Going ok so far. Minor collision between work stress and some hotel chocolat chocs leftover from my birthday BUT previously I'd have scoffed the lot and opened wine too so I'm pleased that I stopped at just a few chocolates.

I'm trying an oaty pancake recipe this morning and a Dahl loaf recipe someone gave me.

I'm finding not having bread really hard.

noyouhavehadawee · 20/04/2013 08:46

oh i have had a stressy week finding out i am probably going to lose my job in next six months so i have put on a pound Sad so i am going to pretend i am off to tenerife too Grin

breakfast will be weetabix, lunch will be a baked potato and tea will be a stir fry with quorn - that's the plan anyway!

Curlywurlysareyum · 20/04/2013 10:34

Thepig - I keep syns for night so have a Freddie frog (5) or curlywurly (6) - the more I do sw the less I need these but at the beginning I needed a choc fix or light crisps (onion rings etc) every night as it was def habit for me too.

Curlywurlysareyum · 20/04/2013 10:37

I find Saturdays hard when I'm off work- had free breakfast (egg, mushrooms, bacon)
L : tuna, salad, slice of bread (heb)
D: chicken, salad, baby pots
S: alpen bar and 4 syn crisps
Might have a glass of wine tonight - missing it!!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 20/04/2013 11:04

I can't believe I've lost a lb! No gym at all as feeling so crap and have had much more syns than normal but think I've eaten less in general iykwim..

1 and 1/2 lb to target Grinbought some size 10 stuff yesterday that's perfect Grin

Holliewantstobehot · 20/04/2013 11:10

The Pig - this might not be up your street but I knit or sew in the evenings and it has broken me of my evening munchies as you can't eat at the same time or you will spoil your work. I now eat nothing after tea in the evenings! It really takes your mind off food too.

Taking the kids swimming this afternoon so just going to put meatballs in the slow cooker for an easy free tea.

ThePigOfHappiness · 20/04/2013 11:23

I think I just have to adjust to not eating at that time iykwim? If I eat a freddo, I'd eat ten! I do crochet and am planning a blanket so working on that will hopefully keep me occupied enough to forget! There are choc chip cookies in the press that I didn't eat last night though, so that's good!
Today the plan is
B: pear, 2 slices brown bread (heB) and a boiled egg
L: free soup and orange and apple
D: bean chili with rice
Snacks and syns: nature valley cereal bar and mikado biscuits!

WheresMyCow · 20/04/2013 11:47

I have just signed up for Race for Life in July. THERE'S an incentive to get me bum in gear. I'll be walking briskly instead of running though. My chestages don't go well with running.

androbbob · 20/04/2013 20:37

Liking blondes post with nickname abbreviations - fish, cow, pig Grin

Been okish today but out for lunch tomorrow (hopefully) - kids are at a st Georges day scouts activity day and DS is only 6 so will be his first trip. His mates are not going, so could be tricky. Keep saying that I wish I could go and how that's not fair as he is going to have so much fun... seems to be hitting a chord with him. DD will be there with her scout group (in different ones) and probably half of their school as well, so hoping I am not getting a phone call before lunch! Planning to hit the gym after dropping them off, then a walk to the pub with my Mum.

Definitely find the weekends difficult. Need to plan how to cope with that for the next few weeks to ensure get good weightlosses.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2013 21:58

Pure laziness as on phone Grin but def a few animals about lol

Made me quiche very hamy and was yummy - even mr blondes said it was nice Shock

OP posts:
androbbob · 20/04/2013 22:06

I must try that quiche - perhaps tomorrow as not doing a roast. Cottage cheese and eggs yeah??

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2013 22:15

Yep. So simple

Tub of low fat cottage cheese and 4 eggs

I usually add

2 onions
Red/yellow pepper
Sweet corn

And then either a packet of chopped ham - tin of salmon

I mix all together in a bowl then put in glass square dish and cook 30 mins on 180

OP posts:
KissMyGrits · 21/04/2013 08:52

Quiche is fantastic, we had it with ham and peppers. Very surprised as even the kids liked it (5 and 2).
Today:

B: Fried egg sandwich
L: Chicken salad
D: Don't know yet (poss blondes quiche!)

Snacks: TBD

Didn't do well the past 2 days with all the wine and curry and pie, but it was delicious and worth it! I'm quite happy with where I am right now I have 10lbs to go to goal but I've found that even though I'm being a bit naughty at the weekend I'm still losing 1-2lbs a week which is enough for me.

BadRoly · 21/04/2013 09:17

Morning all Grin

Just checking in quickly to see how you're all doing. I'm still off plan but Mum leaves Weds so I'll start again then. Will have to weigh tomorrow evening though so not expecting it to be pretty Shock

Curlywurlysareyum · 21/04/2013 09:44

Hmmmm ... All this talk of blondes quiche - think I might have to try it for lunch. Sounds delicious!
