apart from emailing MNHQ?

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 10/06/2009 20:13

no, I didn't mean to imply that is was. I didn;t think it had....

what I meant was that I thought MNHQ would only delete the entire thing if it had been abusive, or the OP asked (IYGWIM)

FlappyCake · 10/06/2009 21:07

Oh yes I didn't mean to imply that you implied bla bla bla I was just confirming what you thought iyswim

Oh dear! Confusion!!

FlappyCake · 10/06/2009 21:08

Although Maggie got a bit wordy .

HelenMumsnet · 10/06/2009 21:33

Evening all. Just to let you know that Justine has already posted about this here

FabulousBakerGirl · 11/06/2009 14:25

Thread not available, Helen.

OP posts:
Lulumama · 11/06/2009 14:27

has the other thread now being dleted too???

BennyAndJoon · 11/06/2009 14:40

deletion seems to be rocketing lulu.

(how the devil are you btw?)

GossipMonger · 11/06/2009 14:56

OK - UPDATE

SlightlyPaniced is NOT a troll.

She has been staying at her parents since the trouble ended and is trying to get herself together.

She is VERY upset about what has been said about her and will be contacting MNHQ about it.

She is NOT CvQ.

I think this thread should go when you have all read my update and I would like to take back what I said about SP earlier.

Hope you read this and email me later SP.

MerlinsBeard · 11/06/2009 14:59

GM - Just be careful with offline or off board contact please

Yes teh thread warning people to watch for trolls has disappeared as has SPs original thread - but that disappeared because someone who wrote a lot of posts asked for them all to be deleted and the thread wouldn't have made sense.

GossipMonger · 11/06/2009 15:03

Thanks MoM!!

Just take on board everything psycho has said, don't give too much of yourself away, and certainly not personal information. And always keep in eth back of your mind that any poster could be anyone online and someone else in RL (including me)

Not meaning to sound condescending but sometimes its hard to take a step back when you are emotionally involved to the point of feeling a responsibility for certain posters.

NationalFlight · 11/06/2009 15:49

Please be careful GM. I don't see anything in your post that reassures me.

NationalFlight · 11/06/2009 15:51

And as for not being CVQ I still don't believe a word of it - might as well say this as this thread'll be gone in a minute.

I am afraid in case you go through what Psycho went through.

Take care.

NationalFlight · 11/06/2009 15:53

...and think about it GM - she's very upset about it, but still wants to keep in touch with you even though you had doubts as well as the rest of us?

Just think about it.

TheYearOfTheCat · 11/06/2009 15:56

It seems every thread I post on gets deleted. What is the point of trying to compose and share some coherent thoughts, then when you go back to look to see what other people think the whole thread is gone!!

Ok, ok, I know it's not about me, but still, when coherent thoughts are a rarity for me, it's nice to have them hanging around for more than 10 minutes.

TheYearOfTheCat · 11/06/2009 15:59

Perhaps if I just post on the baby name threads there may be more chance of them not deleted.

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 16:05

why would SP be upset when the thread was not about her, but about CVQ???

FabulousBakerGirl · 11/06/2009 16:16

Good point.....

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 11/06/2009 16:20

I would be very curious to know how SP could convince GM she wasn't making stuff up. Cvq hung on to the bitter end. Anyway, I won't be engaging in any threads she runs- if she is for real she has got help now in real life, and I'm sure there'll be plenty of supporters for her here too.

Lulumama · 11/06/2009 16:34

this deletion spree is ridicolous

MNHQ : what is going on>??>

are we not allowed to voice opinion or conjecture now? there was nothing against the spirit of MN on the threads AFAIK

GM, the bit for me that does not rign true was SP's husband being locked up within minutes of arrest as it were. how can people prove they are not a troll? be careful

NationalFlight · 11/06/2009 17:41

I've just got back and have been feeling really anxious about this - partly because I hate creating the perception that I might be having a go at HQ - which I certainly don't want to do, as I think they are a great bunch with a difficult job to do - but also at the seeming ability of some random, non regular poster (or is she actually a reg, as she stated? If so surely it would be obvious she isn't a troll??) to censor several threads not started by her, containing very little reference to her, and no actual attacks but much useful conversation and shared thoughts and feelings MAINLY about someone else.

That really makes me quite angry.

Exactly Reality. Exactly.

First line of OP:

'Regular but have namechanged'.

NationalFlight · 11/06/2009 18:27

Gossipmonger, has she told you who she normally is?
