Because it's funny innit? Or are you content in general health?

OP posts:
mollyroger · 25/03/2009 19:36

well, mangos don't come cheap, you know....

pointydog · 25/03/2009 19:38

I think people want to distance themselves from chicken keepers and pony lovers.

FrannyandZooey · 25/03/2009 19:38

LOL
we are a cut above your usual MN riffraff though

ahundredtimes · 25/03/2009 19:58

I know.

you could have a Fruit and Veg topic. Then Pointy could do lots of That's Life type threads with pictures, and there could be 10/10 and then also people could start 'should I eat this apple?' threads and 'what to make with one potato and one carrot? Quick! I've got 12 people to feed in half an hour.'

oh and there could be allotment chat and grow your own chat and all sorts. It'll be very zeitgeisty, very thrift and also very healthy.

I'd like a taxi account please.

Guadalupe · 25/03/2009 20:13

Yes, a budget would be fab. We are good at budgeting and quite prepared to plump for prosseco rather than the real thing

Boco · 25/03/2009 20:13

I vote yes.

FrannyandZooey · 25/03/2009 20:19

boco we aren't voting on here
shhh
it's a secret vote on the other thread
you know, the thread no-one except us reads

FrannyandZooey · 25/03/2009 20:30

justine they are telling me you are just doing it to tidy us off the board
you aren't are you? you meant it about us being funny and important and lovely didn't you? [beseeching]

Guadalupe · 25/03/2009 20:32

Ha ha ha.

Boco · 25/03/2009 20:33

You can't demand they tell us that they want us to have our own category because we're so funny and lovely, and then turn them down though, that's just bad manners.

hunkermunker · 25/03/2009 20:34

They COUNT, you know.

FrannyandZooey · 25/03/2009 20:35

oh can't i
oh bother

hello hunker!

hunkermunker · 25/03/2009 20:36

Hey, Franny!

(I'm lying, btw, about the BK apple chips )

I have had literally two portions of F&V today

I shall forage a bit. Does privet count?

Boco · 25/03/2009 20:36

Hunker! Not seen you for aaaages!

hunkermunker · 25/03/2009 20:39

Boco! Hello! How are your divine girls?

And Franny, how are your boys, which is what I should've asked in my last post to you!

If you have the 10/10 threads all in one place, who would sponsor the section?

And would posters with more than 1,000 genuinely amusing posts in the section get e.g. a free Abel and Cole (other veg boxes are available) delivered once a quarter?

BBBee · 25/03/2009 20:42

oh god - yes please - will make my life a lot easier!

hello fruties!

Boco · 25/03/2009 20:42

Hunker should do our marketing, for sure. You do talks with Justine and see if you can pull some strings and get a regular fruit buffet sent over to village hall?

Girls both ILL atm Hunk, again. But getting better.

Boco · 25/03/2009 20:43

Bee! Another yes vote!

Guadalupe · 25/03/2009 20:45

I am wavering. I am waiting to see what's offered.

hunkermunker · 25/03/2009 20:45

You know me, Boco, always looking for an angle [takes commission in form of blueberries]

Am v sorry to hear the girls have been ill - hope they are much improved tomorrow.

JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 20:47

Franny I shall repeat (with some minor though probably not enough grammar improvements) my post on your other secret thread. Then perhaps you'll trust our motives?

Look you coconuts there is no conspiracy here. This is precisely how Mumsnet has evolved over the centuries - folks start finding common interests, come up with a silly names for them, about four years later we notice, have not a clue who their Leader is but nevertheless invite them to enjoy a topic of their own. It's precisely (more or less, well not really that precisely I suppose but a bit like) what happened with Big/Slim/Whatever weight loss, AIBU, ChickenKeepers, Good Housekeeping, The Fly Threads (oops we haven't done that one yet). In other words you are all the Leaders and we, MNHQ, are your humble followers.

But naturally if you'd like your leeks and mangos to be strewn around the cold sores, warts and impetigo of the general health boards, we would not dream of disentangling them.

OP posts:
Boco · 25/03/2009 20:49

Hmm yes, it is improved with that 'there' changed to 'their'.

Did we ever decide if coconuts counted?

I still say YES! But am in minority I think.

ahundredtimes · 25/03/2009 20:53

Oh dear. I was MUCKING ABOUT. I didn't really think there was a conspiracy. Sorry, was just trying to make the whole discussion more interesting that's all.

I'm retiring. I don't care. i want a taxi account. I'll vote with whatever BBee said because she's written me a letter

Guadalupe · 25/03/2009 20:54

Coconuts are mega ww points. They don't count in my book.

I am saying no, for now, I think, but then am a little odd today with my ear. I feel weighted towards the left and I keep moving my head towards the right to counteract it.

Guadalupe · 25/03/2009 20:56

I once totted up a few hundred pounds on a friend's mother's taxi account before I was found out. Got me out of many a fix and a dark street but of course into lots of trouble in the end.

Is there fizz in your taxi, 100? Blackened windows?
