Because it's funny innit? Or are you content in general health?
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 10:45
Do wasabi peas count?
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 10:52
Not really a full portion - was just tidying up the desk!
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 11:40
I've now had 2 pieces of fruit cake (Rachel's birthday) - any good?
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 14:55
Who is this "Leader" you all speak of - can we meet over smoothies?
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 17:06
It's because they're funny, I suppose - so it tickles us to think of being able to open the topic and see all the thread titles listed together... and we thought it might be nicer for you too (we're nice like that). But obviously if your Leader thinks better, then we will slink off and hide behind some melons.
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 19:35
This is all very surreal - we spend our whole time telling folks why they can't have their own topic and you 10/10 people will only have one if it includes an expense account .
JustineMumsnet · 25/03/2009 20:47
Franny I shall repeat (with some minor though probably not enough grammar improvements) my post on your other secret thread. Then perhaps you'll trust our motives?
Look you coconuts there is no conspiracy here. This is precisely how Mumsnet has evolved over the centuries - folks start finding common interests, come up with a silly names for them, about four years later we notice, have not a clue who their Leader is but nevertheless invite them to enjoy a topic of their own. It's precisely (more or less, well not really that precisely I suppose but a bit like) what happened with Big/Slim/Whatever weight loss, AIBU, ChickenKeepers, Good Housekeeping, The Fly Threads (oops we haven't done that one yet). In other words you are all the Leaders and we, MNHQ, are your humble followers.
But naturally if you'd like your leeks and mangos to be strewn around the cold sores, warts and impetigo of the general health boards, we would not dream of disentangling them.
JustineMumsnet · 26/03/2009 08:49
Right, so, where are we then? Can I take it that we have found no consensus and are trapped in a vortex of havering and indecision? Shall we have a poll like the ones we have for the book club? Choices for topics could be:
10/10 thingummies (or something catchier?) Healthy living (boring snoring) Bugger off and leave us be will ya MNHQ
(BigTech would be pleased.)
JustineMumsnet · 26/03/2009 20:43
Au contraire Franny - please don't take the stripping of your sticky status as any indication that we've rescinded our offer. Our door is always open should you gals decide you'd like a modest home of your own. (I blame the Leader ).
