This Morning want a couple of Mumsnetters to appear with Carrie and Justine next week... anyone fancy it?

ITV's This Morning programme have invited me and Justine on to talk about the Toddlers book and want to also invite a couple of Mumsnetters to talk about how they got into Mumsnet and what Mumsnet means to them etc.

The date will probably be 4th or 5th Feb, they will need us between 9.30 and 12 and are prepared to pay travel expenses.

Anyone out there interested in snuggling up on the sofa? If you are, please put a bit of blurb about yourself here - how many children you have/how old, how you got into Mumsnet and what it means to you etc - so This Morning can decide who they might fancy inviting. If you do volunteer we may have to pass your email details on to This Morning, in case they want to chat to you, so shout now if you'd rather we didn't do that.

Thanks,

MNHQ

mollyroger · 29/01/2009 20:26

god I'd love it, but I am so unphotogenic, it's unreal. They'd think all mumsnetters were worn-out old mingers. And I'm northern. They'd have to provide subtitles.

SameAsYou · 29/01/2009 20:26

I could imagine WMMC doing this

RiaParkinson · 29/01/2009 20:28

go on WMMC with one on each knocker

I dare you!

MNsQueenIsDrunk · 29/01/2009 20:35

I am far toooo scared to do it and could never get there when you need me
BUT BY FUCK I LOVE MUMSNET

wannabe10 · 29/01/2009 20:52

I am thirty, three sons and complicated love life hence addiction to mumsnet.....
Mumsnet means a lot as don't have many friends in RL and I feel I can be myself.
Would need to know if interested as I would need the day off school!

SoMuchToBits · 29/01/2009 20:54

Ah, Custardo! There's someone who would tell it like it is!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 29/01/2009 20:56

So, does Fern have a gastric band or a colostomy?

ruty · 29/01/2009 20:59

leave Fern alone she and Phil are the only people on daytime TV who shouldn't be put into orbit for eternity.

Tortington · 29/01/2009 21:00

go on let me. i wont swear...much and i'll put on my norhtern accent so it sounds like am reet northern. and i will say things like

i found mumsnet by accident by 'eck, its a good job 'n' all 'cos i wer jus' about to give my toddler a spanner for tea, when i asked online, they said that i shouldn't microwave spanners, cos microwave food is bad fer toddlers, so i gave him a pot noodle, don't worry like, cos, it wer a 'ealthy one, it wer one of them vegetable ones.

VampiresWalkin · 29/01/2009 21:01

VampiresWalkin · 29/01/2009 21:04

oooh oooh oooh - Take whitenoise and me - we have been wanting to meet for FIVE YEARS

(We may not actually say anything, but think how happy we would be)

morningpaper · 29/01/2009 21:05

When I was 10 I sent a photo of Phillip Schofield that my hanster had half eaten to that Saturday morning Going Live! programme he did and he read it out on the telly

I was in love with him for YEARS

When I was about 20 I went to a trendy London restaurant where you all sat on long communal tables and I was seated next to Schofield and I was so nervous that I couldn't eat a thing.

SoupDragon · 29/01/2009 21:05

I could send BabyDragon. That would be entertaining...

Frizbe · 29/01/2009 21:11

I vote for Vampires and CSWS

whitenoise · 29/01/2009 21:20

nooo i am not going - i have fallen out of love with MN at the mo and would say the Wring Thing.

Still, an all expenses paid trip to meet VW would be amazing (AND i could catch up on some sleep on teh train!!)

How long you been VW and why didn't i know?

VaginaShmergina · 29/01/2009 21:22

Yay me me me me, pick me !!!.... done How to look good naked.... twice so has to be whole lot easier with your clothes on, and that's no porky pie either !

Initially found MN to help with problems with the kids. DD age 8 (going on 27) and DS age 5.

Then found threads that helped me with my maritals and also bereavement too. DH works long hours and MN keeps me company. Found I had more conversations on MN than in RL some days. Have made some amazing supportive friends here and would not be without them.

ssd · 29/01/2009 21:24

so who's doing it?
