This Morning want a couple of Mumsnetters to appear with Carrie and Justine next week... anyone fancy it?

ITV's This Morning programme have invited me and Justine on to talk about the Toddlers book and want to also invite a couple of Mumsnetters to talk about how they got into Mumsnet and what Mumsnet means to them etc.

The date will probably be 4th or 5th Feb, they will need us between 9.30 and 12 and are prepared to pay travel expenses.

Anyone out there interested in snuggling up on the sofa? If you are, please put a bit of blurb about yourself here - how many children you have/how old, how you got into Mumsnet and what it means to you etc - so This Morning can decide who they might fancy inviting. If you do volunteer we may have to pass your email details on to This Morning, in case they want to chat to you, so shout now if you'd rather we didn't do that.

Thanks,

MNHQ

Who is a MOLDIE ???

RipVanTwinkle · 29/01/2009 21:32

I vote Custy and Yorkiegirl. The two best sides of Mumsnet right there. Witty & sharp-tongued versus someone who really needed, and got, the huge support that Mumsnet offers (and witty too, obviously).

MuchLessTiredNow · 29/01/2009 21:34

I have 3 children - 5, 3 and nearly 2. Mn has helped me through some dreadful times - we have moved 3 times since having ds1 as dh is in the army and he has been away on ops for over a year of that. So I never had the family support that most do going through this stage as we have spent 4 years in Germany. MN has helped me through 2 difficult pregnancies, severe PND, and I now prefer to MN than google - have had in depth chats about such varied subjects as having to take antidepressants while pg to the much more serious is wentworth miller gay? thread. Would never fault it - despite trolls and the recent turbulence, I still log on once a day....

I VOTE FOR FUCKING CUSTY!!!!

It's pre watershed, Kerry...

VaginaShmergina · 29/01/2009 21:38

Never now quite what I am getting myself into Kerry

Candlewax · 29/01/2009 21:38

I don't mind appearing. I used to do full time work but had to stop when my SN son started being unable to go to school. I have built up a business and work mainly from home doing accountancy/book keeping and because I won the HUGE battle with the LEA about appropriate placement for my son, he is now in bi-weekly boarding school and it means I am slowly regaining my life again. I'm 40 something, I have two children whom are now 14 and 17. I first came to Mumsnet because someone recommended it to me about 5/6 years ago for SN advice and I'm still here. I like Mumsnet because of the diverse nature of the site and the fact that you can post anon and ask the most embarassing personal questions and get the most brilliant answers in the world; some questions you might not want to ask of even your RL best friend and besides, who wants to look daft in RL, ask Mumsnet and you know they can stick you in the right direction. I have to say that I do also enjoy the "has this thing kicked off yet" when they happen and I do miss Cod.

VaginaShmergina · 29/01/2009 21:39

Please let me go on...... I would love to say my name and try hard not to laugh about saying VAGINA on daytime TV !!! Dr Chris would be out in a flash

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/01/2009 21:41

Have you put your name down hunker?

hunkermunker · 29/01/2009 21:42

I've got a face fit for radio, sadly, VVV...

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 29/01/2009 21:42

Ah yes, I'd do it. I love Phil and Fern.

I've got 2 girls, aged 4 and 2. I actually got into MN from your book on pregnancy.

MN helped me in the early days when I had my 2nd with breast feeding issues and I've made a few friends from here who I've met in RL.

I always tell my newly expectant friends about MN.

Ledodgy · 29/01/2009 21:43

I vote Yorkiegirl and Hunker.

But I'm also not volunteering, so you can put your dagger paws away, Kerry

CandleQueen · 29/01/2009 21:47

Check this out. Up herself? Not much

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/01/2009 21:49

oh you lie.
you'd be perfect.
Do you know if this would have existed without MN?
Yorkiegirl was very inspirational to me. I got married on the grounds of one of her threads.

DumbledoresGirl · 29/01/2009 21:49

I think it would be diplomatic not to have Moldies representing MN so soon after the debacle. You know who you are (and so do I)

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 29/01/2009 21:50

Can we say FANJO on daytime TV?

DumbledoresGirl · 29/01/2009 21:52

But of course This Morning will pick who they think is best.....

And if it is a Moldie, it will still be good for a laugh.....

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 29/01/2009 21:53

Did I ever tell anyone that I got an e-mail from Fern?

And Phil has actually spoken to me?

Will there be a list of forbidden words from both Justine and ITV?
