Who asked MNHQ for documents about the Rev?

Were they not just following up concerns posted on the threads, that she may not be whom she purported to be?

maybe as they were both so vocal on the moldie thread it wound people up. i'd never seen them post on much before. so it was a bit suspicious imho

All I can see there, von, is the rev asking moldies to post a link on their site. No suggetion that the thread is being linked to on their site, whatever their site is. And is there any reason why it shouldn't be linked there?

Zen, the Moldie site DOES discuss Mumsnet threads and HAS posted links to Mumsnet as well as certain blogs.

It seems highly likely that it was linked as a lot of Mouldies suddenly descended onto that thread - and as the Rev asked for her OP to be copied into the Mouldies site too.

Of course they'll deny it though, as they deny everything.

Thinking about this in general I have no idea why the Rev bothered to prove herself.

Frankly it seems like it is an abuse of power for someone from Mumsnet HQ to ask that she prove who she is.

No one else I know has ever been asked. I have not been asked to prove my identity.

This is an internet talk forum - anyone could be anyone.

does the rev want this fuss? i doubt it. she seems to me to be an eminently sensible and robust woman, with a forgiving nature as befits her role. (and there was much to forgive, imo).

this is an OP that is designed to stir up trouble, imo. last thing this place needs at the moment. if the OP feels strongly, she should have emailed MNHQ at the time.

Well now Rev's privacy has been infringed, perhaps another spin off needs to be formed. This is like groundhog day.
