but I would be grateful if you could tell me that you have at least given serious consideration to banning the posters who were harrassing her.

Thank you.

thanks for the info tortoiseshell.

NotADragonOfSoup · 20/01/2009 14:09

Yes, TikTok was asked what her credentials were.

princesspeahead · 20/01/2009 14:09

Rhubarb - not by me.
I didn't assemble anything Rhubarb. I posted on two threads...one about moldies if I recall correctly - where my first post was along the lines of "FGS my dad has just died can we have some perspective" - not surprising there were a lot of moldies on a moldies thread. Second one was about Gaza and I was reading it as one does if one if completely horrified with what is going on in the world today. I again said that I thought rev was a fake because of the supervisor bollox and the fact that she posted when all decent revs should be in church. Of the ??? how many ???? posters on that thread, there were a couple of other moldies there, including Bubble, who is jewish and of course interested in Gaza, and Enid because why not?

I assure you if I wanted to assemble a gang it would be bigger than 3. But that isn't my style. Much as you don't need a gang to say what you think you must acknowledge that I've never needed a gang either. Be fair.

smallorange · 20/01/2009 14:10

I don't think, legally, anything could go pear shaped as a result of someone posting in a semi -professional role. It is an anonymous forum.

Tamarto · 20/01/2009 14:10

No because you posted

----

Which irritates the hell out of me.

CountessDracula · 20/01/2009 14:10

Well then I don't see what the problem is

She is who she says she is
She has been supervised
She has taken the Rev out of her name so that she is equal with other posters

Disclaimer: I am not a Countess

It was kathryn2804 wasn't it? She had been calling herself a bfc when she is in fact a peer supporter. And she was asked very politely indeed, and agreed to not use the term bfc again.

jute · 20/01/2009 14:11

Laurie agree but I think they should expect that they might be checked (if for example I saw a bfeeding counsellor saying 'make sure you give formula twice a day so you know the baby is getting enough' I would be a bit suspicious).

I am married to a lawyer who is obsessed with anything he says out of the office not being legal advice. Any post he has made on here (and I've asked him to a few times) always includes the you must take legal advice for your own individual case disclaimer & I would never write anything for him as I know how blinking anal he is about it not being construed as proper legal advice.

CreativeZen · 20/01/2009 14:11

Oh I thought I read that she said all her posts were being supervised and then she retracted that mcuh later. Is that not true then? Are all her posts being overseen by her superior? Cos that's different.

princesspeahead · 20/01/2009 14:11

Justine can you delete all the threads which accuse me of harrassing Rev and digging into her private life please.

Rhubarb · 20/01/2009 14:11

I second what Justine has said, why not just use the 'report this post' option?

pagwatch · 20/01/2009 14:11
CountessDracula · 20/01/2009 14:11

I also think this gang thing is chud

PPH, Enid and Bubble are all perfectly capable of individual thought and opinion.

BitOfBarackyFun · 20/01/2009 14:12

Hehehe, have never done it before, honest guv! Why, I can kill threads just fine without it normally...

jute · 20/01/2009 14:12

oh I'm a bit slow.

Tamarto · 20/01/2009 14:14

lol bitof you and me both

jute · 20/01/2009 14:16

oh I thought she said her posts were being supervised. I'm sure she said that because I remember thinking it was odd.

Taking what you deem to be advice into supervision to discuss is very different.

couching I think you make the most sense

Carmenere · 20/01/2009 14:17

Hey Guys this is an historic day, in a couple of hours time, for the first time in history, a total fox black man is being inaugurated into the white house, can we leave this petty squabbling and concentrate on the fox real issues of the day?

Lizzylou · 20/01/2009 14:18

Can I point out that this is wrong:

(nor is she a reverend actually but a deacon as she has said)

A Deacon IS a Reverend. I think ackershally she should be addressed as "The Reverend Dr..." or "The Reverend Mr..." and although I've never heard of "The Reverend Ms..." perhaps that is how it works

Alternatively you can address a Deacon as "The Reverend Deacon Just Justa" I think, although I'm not sure

Carmenere · 20/01/2009 14:23

Oh I might try to invent a Yes Pecan recipe as recipe of the week this week....

morningpaper · 20/01/2009 14:23

pedantry here

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 20/01/2009 14:24

you wouldn't say the Revd Mr, but you might say the Rev Dr if they had a PHD or I've even come across the Rev Professor
