but I would be grateful if you could tell me that you have at least given serious consideration to banning the posters who were harrassing her.

Thank you.

Yes, if you must know, I thought about it and thought 'hmm if she really did have family in the holocaust that must have been quite upsetting'

so I apologised

VinegarTits · 20/01/2009 16:46

And my other question? what prompted you to call her a liar?

Why did you not just report her to MNHQ if you thought she was a troll?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 20/01/2009 16:46

A massive moment in history is happening right now and you are worrying about this shit. Enough. What more can be said.

Cynosure · 20/01/2009 16:47

pmsl- custy- that is farking hilarious!

But isn't that the anti-mold song?

Nantucket · 20/01/2009 16:47

This has really fucked me off.

PPH and Enid have barely posted on MN since moldie debacle, and when they have it has been almost entirely to attack the Rev. their 'questioning' of her on two threads (by PPH) at least was done in a very malicious vitriolic, almost manic fashion, it's a shame the posts have been deleted, but anyone who saw them knows that.

PPH and Enid arrived on a Gaza thread, from almost nowhere (can do a thread search to clarify their widespread MN posting or not if needed), with no interest in discussing gaza, but with deeply unpleasnt accusstions about Rev and various lies they accused her of telling eg 'lol you're a fucking REv' being one of Enid deleted posts, and the only vaguely gaza related interest was to accuse her of manufacturing the death of her relatives in the holocaust.

In my mind, and many other, if not yours PPH, this amounts to a malicious personal attacks. Very malicious. And repeated.

It is a shame posts have been deleted otherwise the level of the unpleasntness could be seen, but the fact they are deleted should give you some idea.

And now many mouldies who had disappeared have reappeared just to defend this nasty behaviour.

WTF are moldies doing? Everyone was putting it behind them getting on with MNing then 2 appear simultaneously to make a malicious pertsonal attack, on a very decent (in every sense) poster, and then more reappear to defend them??

For God sake get a grip. Look at yourselves. Twiglett bang some heads together, is this what you intended? I doubt it.

I'm actually pissed off with MNHQ to. I don't think Rev should have to name change. She is a rev if she wants to make this public it's up to her. MNHQ should stand by her in that, it makes the perpetrators of the nastiness look like they had a point.

they didn't.

I am goin to email MNHQ with my views on this and if any one agrees with me please do the same.

Christ you are never bloody satisfied you lot. I have apologised, clearly to your great chagrin and I am doing no more.

[door slams]

FriarKewcumber · 20/01/2009 16:49

I agree Nantucket - I will do my first ever MN email now...

I really think Rev should be allowed to make her own choice about posting name.

VinegarTits · 20/01/2009 16:50

Speaks volumes that Eniddo, you didnt even have a valid reason not to believe the Rev is a Rev, you just felt like attacking her, plain nasty.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 20/01/2009 16:50

HISTORY BEING FUCKING MADE

Piffle · 20/01/2009 16:51

ahh the anti moldie cavalry
And you accuse the Moldies of producing a gang
I'm off as this is no longer about Rev. Whom I like immensely.

TheFallenMadonna · 20/01/2009 16:51

I'm utterly perplexed by the whole thing.

Would it matter if she weren't a Rev? Do we need disclaimers at the top of the Religion etc board as well as Employment and Health?

I think we should have one at the top of the education boards too. I sometimes actually give advice (which is I think more than justabout has done) based on my experience as a teacher. Now of course I may not be a teacher.

Blimey.

Poor response from MNHQ I think. And aren't deacons Revs?

MrEniddo · 20/01/2009 16:51

ahem. I did actually join the thread to criticise a boycott of Israeli produce, not to have a go at the Rev.

then her dh called someone a bitch.

and things got heated.

Ledodgy · 20/01/2009 16:52

.

TotalChaos · 20/01/2009 16:52

Personally I'm more interested in what he achieves after the inauguration than the ceremony.

Fio - ta - here's your fiver for that nice comment.

Pag - hope the club goes well.

Monkeytrousers · 20/01/2009 16:53

Oh dear. Really?

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 20/01/2009 16:53

FallenMadonna - yes it would, because it would mean she was peddling thoughts under the umbrella of the CE, as their representative.

Would be a bit like someone going onto Babyworld and saying 'I run MN, we give away free fruitshoots.' Possibly.

FriarKewcumber · 20/01/2009 16:54

I didn't follow the threa however it was interesting that all (arguably) offensive posts by Rev and MrRev were deleted at their own request and they agreed they were uncalled for. No such self-awareness from the other relevant posters.

wannaBe · 20/01/2009 16:55

This is getting ridiculous. Just because the three posters in question post on moldies does not make all other moldies guilty by association.

If someone is murdered in your town does that make you complicit because you live there?

If someone posts a nasty post on mn (and there are some nasty posters on mn) does that make you a part of it? Even if you've had nothing to do with it?

The three posters in question should not have posted the things they did.

But people are using this as an excuse to bash moldies again and that is equally out of order.

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 20/01/2009 16:55

And like I said further down, but was ignored, in a way she should be glad to be challenged - it means that we can all be a bit more secure that if someone 'borrowed' our identity and then posted, JudgeFlounce style, there's a good chance it would be unmasked. Simply because people do keep their eyes open.

VinegarTits · 20/01/2009 16:55

But you called the Rev a liar before her DH came into it (the reason why he did, because she was under attack) so you cant blame him for that, why did you disbelieve her in the first place?

TheFallenMadonna · 20/01/2009 16:55

So it would matter to the CofE perhaps. Perhaps. But to posters? Meh.

MarmadukeScarlet · 20/01/2009 16:56

I'm sure this will also be deleted, but I, in no way accused anyone of harrassing or stalking anyone else.

But as my, rather polite, post has now been deleted I'm sure those wishing to could assume that I did.

Oh, the irony
