everyone is entitled to their opinion on posters, some vocalise it, others don't. I think that in cases where posters (real or otherwise) are using a lot of their time and emotion over and over then MNHQ needs to send an email that simply says "please be aware that people are not always who they make out to be when they are online. We have noticed you are supporting and just wanted to send you a reminder, there is no need to be suspicious" (or something like that)

sending money or gifts is pretty obvious that you should only do it if you know and trust the poster. giving your emotions to someone is often hard to take a step back from if you are involved deeply

Well there were a couple of people who seemed to be pretty upset they wern't paid back.

COV, i don't think they were on the phone biull thread though. I think they had given money/material things for a diffeent reason and when it all kicked off they assumed that they would be repaid as well.

My concern is that it is often the least emotionally stable people that pile in to lend emotional support, perhaps because they know how much of a difference it can make.

These people are sadly often the least well equipped to cope with any fallout from giving that support and getting too involved.

I'm not sure there is much you can do about it, but I do read some of the threads and shudder sometimes, before quickly pressing 'hide'!
