This is one of 3 sites I go on (sad I know - I do have a life honest!!) and all of them suffer with trolls. It's a fact of life, be it RL or web forums, people get perverse pleasure out of winding other people up.

It's a hard fact and sometimes it's something we've just got to accept.

Not exactly a troll, hunker, just took it all a bit far, then a friend, also on MN, got in on the act and arranged a 'surprise' for TWR's 'birthday' - via email/CAT. Some money went TWR's way - then TWR needed money for rent or summat and loads of MNers contributed. Alllegedly she paid back the money.

I sent her £50 once as she seemed to be having such a hard time, not part of an organised scam collection but because I'm nice.

Then I realised she was always having a hard time! I did then contact mnhq to say that I was concerned that many individuals may do as I had done...I wonder how much she made?

I wish Mumsnet had never participated in that newspaper article saying what a kind, generous lot we were. I wonder if the site will be able to sustain itself longterm? Too many people getting fed up and even conned

the placeis going mad, i was accused of troll like behaviour yesterday becuase i asked what sort of toys/games other mums' 6 yr olds were into. I was using my real name too!!!!
