because, if you were there on the thread, people badgered and also she wasn't alone in naming names and so it's unfair to slate only her in the whole fracas especially now as thread's been pulled.

certainly can't see anyone would blame you PSM5 and Flame did only start a tiny fire which then got fanned into a much bigger blaze by others. And yes she was badgered into starting it, but she did start it.

pc - all we know really is that ec is not for real, and is not a reg. we dont know that any of the 'mother' stuff is true. its only 'ec' who said that

But we dont know who EC's other posting name is, if there is one, and if she is a regular who conjured up the EC persona.

EC was questioned by a few people about inconsistancies and EC, after saying she was being hacked/other people were using log in, fessed up and then said she was ECs mum, had set up account for teen mum daughter but used it herself. Then said 'it had you all going tho'

On another thread, people wanted MN to out who EC was. Lots of speculating. Psychomum and flame both said they were suspicious or someone after that person used a childhood story of theirs in their post, after much pressing, they admitted it was CvQ. No one said CvQ was EC. A few other names were mentioned too and I'm sure they feel just as bad

I think MN should come on now and clarify who EC was, if she is a reg, or just say if she was a new poster trolling

people are getting het up, others are getting hurt, still others have been hurt and are still trying to heal from that.

First off, apologies that we weren't able to make a statement on this last night, but we needed to do a bit of digging and investigating (not to mention that it was all kicking off way past some MNHQers' bedtimes .)

So, just to clarify, EC was not connected to CvQ, or indeed to any other Mumsnetter. EC was misleading people on the boards and because of that has now been banned.

Hope this clears things up for everyone.
