MUMSNET STAFF - can I post a picture of a woman in a thong with round buttocks please? Showing legs in stockings, photographed from behind? Please?

We’re mostly women here, and it’s not like there might be any children walking past is it? You’ll let me post it, right? It’s a very sexy photo 🥵🥵🥵.

If the answer is no, can I ask why? Because that’s what you’re allowing to be on everyone’s screen through your absolute refusal to do anything about the Anne Summers adverts people have been complaining about since 14th December (or maybe earlier than that, I don’t know).

Shall I screenshot it, and someone can approve the photo?

Or (crazy idea) will you do something about the advert?

OP posts:

Apologies to all, and don’t even think will make it past censors, but this is it..

When they've been hosting at least one photo of baby genitals for the past two weeks, unbothered, I wouldn't imagine they'll be in a rush to remove the woman's buttocks.

I really think there's some at MNHQ who could do with having their hard drive checked.

What the fuck? Is this posted to a thread, or another advert?

Oh, other people are getting this ad too?? I had a stern word with my teen DC, assuming they'd been googling these sorts of images and somehow this was influencing what ads I see 😬 I'll have to apologise!

Namechange2211 · 27/12/2025 21:31

I am not sure if it’s the same one but a gross add for knickers with no gussets appears on my right hand side. I was putting my hand over my right eye for ages so i couldn’t see it. Now I moved to DuckDuckGo and all ads are blocked. Thank god!!

Makemeanonymous · 27/12/2025 22:09

There's been complaints about these ads since at least July OP.
I'm absolutely fed up of them.

Please tell me that it's in the context of "What's this rash? Should I take DC to the GP?"...

soupyspoon · 27/12/2025 22:33

Im now seeing the ads everywhere again, it knows Im on this thread.

ForPearlViper · 27/12/2025 22:33

Count yourself lucky if you don't get the v expensive open crotch pants ads. You get posters who say it's based on algorithms related to your search history. If this is the case it's odd these are only ever appear on Mumsnet and none of the many other sites I visit.

What's the point of those? If you have knickers on, it's to protect your clothes from vulval and anal discharges, and to protect your delicate vulva from your clothes. If you are having sex, you'd take your clothes and your knickers off...

SparklingCrow · 27/12/2025 22:39

DuckDuckGo for the win. (The free ad browser.) Seriously, download it and get shot of all the crappy MN ads for free.

How on earth would I know. I was just trying to get rid of them. I don’t want to describe them more fully.
As mentioned - DuckDuckGo is your friend.

Edited

Sorry, I should have made it clear that I'm following up your comment with an expression of disbelief that people who buy crotchless knickers exist, not expecting an answer an answer as to why.

Raisondeetre · 27/12/2025 22:48

I’m finding them intensely annoying too.

Branleuse · 27/12/2025 22:54

Davros · 27/12/2025 20:44

I’ve never seen it. I use the app only but pay £2.99pm for MN Premium. Bargain

I have premium too to get rid of the ads. I used to hate them so much on here.

I like that people can still use mumsnet without paying, but like every other free to use site out there, it's gonna be paid for by the ads instead.

Literal bangmaids. On a majority female website. 😕

Thingscouldntgetanyworse · 27/12/2025 23:06

This thread is hilarious. It’s just an ad, for the love on god just scroll by. Or use an adblocker.

WafflePlusWord · 27/12/2025 23:32

I’ve never seen it. I think it might be because I mostly use Mumsnet on my home WiFi and it would probably block it. Might try Mumsnet on 5g and see what I get!

Though just to mention there was a bra ad (can’t remember the name of the company) and the model looked drugged and I hated seeing it, so would just scroll very quickly past it! I still occasionally see a similar advert from
the same company but with a different model and it doesn’t bother me at all.

On a female-majority website, in which women whose husbands have raped and battered them write asking for help, it's not "just an ad" but a visible reminder of how women are expected to exist as bangmaids for men and not as people worthy of respect in our own right.

Am l missing something? If that's it? Just scroll pass.. loads of ads ... non bother me. I hardly glance at them.
Too many feminist on here... just scroll past and get over it... more in the world to be bothered about than a lingerie advert..

Well said. I do agree.. gosh it's just a lingerie ad.. more going on in the world to be bothered about.
Too many feminist on here.. those pics are in the Ann Summers shop.. well were a few months ago when l went in.
Loads of other lingerie stores use similar.
Some people need to throw away their pearls

DullAndUnconvincing · 27/12/2025 23:44

Just to warn you OP and others - I complained about the Glam Muse adverts (I think that was the name) and promptly got a DM from some sleazy bloke 🤮 it seems to bring them out of the sewers…

In the context of "look at the content of my baby's nappy". Marked as inclusive of a photo, but absolutely no need for the child to be included, and worrying that the photo was accepted in the first place.
