We’re mostly women here, and it’s not like there might be any children walking past is it? You’ll let me post it, right? It’s a very sexy photo 🥵🥵🥵.

If the answer is no, can I ask why? Because that’s what you’re allowing to be on everyone’s screen through your absolute refusal to do anything about the Anne Summers adverts people have been complaining about since 14th December (or maybe earlier than that, I don’t know).

Shall I screenshot it, and someone can approve the photo?

Or (crazy idea) will you do something about the advert?

Hello, everyone. Thanks for posting. We're looking into these ads today and will report back ASAP. We've blocked similar ads in the past but when this happens, the ad is blocked at the level of that particular creative. Advertisers often upload multiple near-identical versions, which means something that looks the same can reappear until it’s flagged again.

Lingerie advertising in itself isn’t inappropriate for Mumsnet. We do block ads that show nudity or explicit sexual content, but models wearing lingerie whether the racier kind or the more industrial type, fall within what we allow on the site.

We also can’t reliably see the same ads you see. Ads served programmatically vary by device, browser, location and timing, so asking for a URL, advertiser name or screenshot is genuinely the quickest way for us to identify and deal with a specific ad.

If you see an ad that you think doesn't belong here, please report it with whatever identifying detail you can. If you'd rather not post on the boards, then please email us at [email protected]

To answer a few queries about Mumsnet Premium - MNHQ doesn’t store or process card details itself. All payments are handled securely by Stripe, a third-party payment provider used by many large organisations. Card details are never visible to MNHQ staff, and access to Stripe within Mumsnet is tightly restricted to a very small number of authorised roles for operational purposes only. Premium subscriptions aren’t linked to what you post on the site, and paying for Premium doesn’t give staff access to any additional personal or financial information about you.

Any further questions, please post here and we'll get to you as soon as we can. Thanks.

Slightly off topic. Is it just me or is anyone else confused by what @BeckyAMumsnet means by industrial lingerie?
I have visions of someone in welding gear.

The kind of brassiere designed to withstand a nuclear strike. My personal preference, bespoke from Harland & Wolff.

Thanks for your patience today. We’ve blocked the latest round of ads and are continuing work to prevent them appearing again.

@dynamiccactus - we do see ads, but as mentioned earlier, we may not see a problem ad when it’s appearing, which is why we ask for further info where possible.
