Why has MN changed colour?

It's awful! About 10 mins ago I refreshed a page and the blue banners changed to a much brighter shade, and the OP is highlighted in grey instead of green, and I hate it. It's too bright. What's happening??

Galaxy A55, latest version of Chrome.

Shame they took away the laughing emoji.

Yup, same here. OP's posts have changed from green to cornflower blue and mine have changed from mauve to peach (ugh, very 1980's!). I do like, however, the addition of the little labels "Original poster" and "My posts" just to add some additional clarification over and above the different colours.

Hmm, I have it in dark mode so the changes are minimal that I’ve noticed. Quite liking the colours!

I don’t mind it at all.

Why on earth do we need Original Poster heading on the OPs posts? We know they’re the OP, no need to be told.
I hate the changes, hideously garish.

Ugh, the more I look at it the more headache inducing it becomes. Turning the screen brightness down does nothing to dampen down the glaring colours.

@PumpkinSeasonOctober Yes, I can't get that worked up about it. It's just change. None of us will be talking about it in a few weeks' time.

I can live with the garish colours, but the labels for my posts and OPs are irritating. We’ve managed to identify these things without problem for years, there is no need to start treating us as if we’re stupid.

The colours I'm seeing are pastel (cornflower blue and peach), not actually "glaring" at all. 🤔

I changed some of my settings to green but it’s a weird pastel green.

What is the point of the banner when you can have Op's posts & own posts in different colours?

New changes are horrible.
Stop fixing things that are not broken and fix the things that are.

I can't believe anyone thought making a posters own posts a colour similar to that of a sticking plaster was a good idea.
It is worse than the nasty blue OP colour.
