Going back to top of topic

The last couple of days when I look at Active, or any other section (Gardening, Site Stuff etc) every time I come out of a thread it takes me back to the top, so I then have to scroll past all the threads I've read to get back to where I was. It's very annoying, could you fix it please? I'm on an Android phone, using the desktop site.

That blue is incredibly off-putting, why the hell did it need to be changed when there are actual technical issues to be addressed?

This is happening to me too, Safari on iPhone. Also the new blue is awful, too bright.

Yes, hugely irritating. Plus it is much less obvious which are whose posts without the colouring.
Who thought these changes up?!

This happened to me a couple of years ago and Mumsnet suggested that I swiped right instead of hitting the active button. This has worked until recently, like everyone else I now have to scroll through the Active list every time, even when I swipe, it takes me back to the beginning.

I have an iPhone 11 and have tried deleting and reloading the app to no avail.

I do hope it can get sorted soon.

I'm just going to keep bumping this until it's sorted. It's so frustrating.

Any update @HebeMumsnet ? It really is making Mumsnet unusable, and fannying about with the colours while people can't actually navigate the site properly is just rubbing salt in the wound!

Agree, I much prefer the original colours!

Adding my voice to the many. Clicking back into the active list, only to be taken to the top of the list is bollocks.

Why is nobody responding?
Do you want people so fed up that they stop using the site?

It a pita then trying to find the next thread you were going to look at it and it's moved position..🤯🤯

They know all about it, there’s another thread which is months old detailing the same issue. They’ve given up even pretending they’re interested and are just ignoring us now. Don’t expect it to be fixed.

Come on @MNHQ, this is getting boring. I’ve just signed up to pay £3 a month to get rid of the ads, now I’ve got bloody pages jumping around. I don’t know what’s more irritating. I’ll be wanting that money refunded, I’m close to giving up.

I'm addding my voice to the chorus of righteous indignation about always returning to the top of the threads. It is making this site unusable, together with taking ages to load, and then reloading, due to glitches, presumably because of the ads.
I am less keen to click on threads or comment, as it is often not worth the bother.

Yep this happens to me too. Using chrome or safari on iPhone. It looks to me an issue with adverts loading, causing the page to refresh. Despite the money mumsnet makes from ads they don’t seem to want to spend any of it on making sure those ads don’t make the site hard to use!

They need to sack their development team. There should be a simple line of code which returns you to where you were previously and some idiot has either deleted it or introduced an error in the code.

At one point in my career I was a software tester and it's very common for software to work perfectly on the developers machine but not when it's installed on a 'clean' machine which doesn't have all the developers software on it - it's poor testing practice from the development team but Mumsnet obviously don't care.
