Going back to top of topic

The last couple of days when I look at Active, or any other section (Gardening, Site Stuff etc) every time I come out of a thread it takes me back to the top, so I then have to scroll past all the threads I've read to get back to where I was. It's very annoying, could you fix it please? I'm on an Android phone, using the desktop site.

Me too, iPhone 11 on safari, keeps randomly reloading whilst reading a thread too and that also takes me back to the top of the page 😡 It's so annoying I've hardly been on here in days.

Any chance of an update on this? It's been happening for days now and makes using the site a really unpleasant experience (although on the plus side I have finished cleaning the house ready for weekend guests!)

Tell you what frustrates me about Mumsnet nowadays. They never reply. It’s been days of people reporting this. It’s not like the ad issue where they’ve made a decision and are going to stick to it no matter whether people dislike it - this is a simple glitch that has happened before and can be fixed. Mumsnet used to appear to monitor Site Stuff and respond but it’s been days and… nada. Kinda shows what they think of their users nowadays.

It really shows how little they care about the users of the site. It no longer seems to matter if the site is user friendly

Same here when I use my phone. On my laptop it's fine because I open threads in a new tab.

Between the video ads and this, the site is rapidly becoming unusable. And every time these issues are raised, we get fobbed off with "we're looking into it" and then nothing changes. I can't be the only one who's thinking about just not bothering in future and going elsewhere.

I was thinking of reporting this too. Along with the slow time to load the site, slow time to load threads, (I assume because of the adverts) flicking back up to the top of the thread when adverts are loading, the advert that slides down and covers the top third of the screen. Bloody annoying adverts. I get that you’ve decided to go full on with advertising but can’t you make them less disruptive?

At least with Firefox you don’t get adverts!

I'm.a long term user of MN, the discussions are what keeps me here but I've never known another website to have so many continual glitches and issues.
Come on @MNHQ please address this very annoying issue..it's still happening and makes using the site very frustrating

It's like reading a book and every time you turn the page you are back to the beginning of the book again.
