The last couple of days when I look at Active, or any other section (Gardening, Site Stuff etc) every time I come out of a thread it takes me back to the top, so I then have to scroll past all the threads I've read to get back to where I was. It's very annoying, could you fix it please? Grin I'm on an Android phone, using the desktop site.

Same here! I've just about got used to threads not opening in a new tab, but this having to scroll all the way down the Active list from the top is horrible.

Using a Chrome browser on a laptop.

AllBranEater · 09/09/2025 14:50

I've got this happening too, it's so annoying! I'm using Google Chrome on a laptop.

Cancelthecake · 09/09/2025 16:47

@MNHQ any chance of a response to this?

JordanaBevan · 09/09/2025 16:59

RaventheBrave · 09/09/2025 19:14

Same here. Safari on an iPhone 15

ILoveLukeAlderton · 09/09/2025 19:39

Me too, iPhone 11 using Safari. @MNHQ this really needs fixing - no other site I use is as clunky and glitchy as this one. It feels like ads and sponsored content are all MN are interested in these days.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 09/09/2025 20:21

Literally came here to say this!

Using Google Chrome on a Samsung phone

SpigTheFish · 09/09/2025 22:06

'Verifying you are human' - notice when trying to use the site.

what's this all about then? Is it new?

At least I was 'approved.'

I am human by the way.

squashyhat · 09/09/2025 22:16

Me too. Firefox on Samsung tablet and phone.

Gladysknightjustwalkinmyshoes · 09/09/2025 22:25

Google Chrome, android phone.
It's a pita.

Pippadeck · 09/09/2025 22:29

🙋🏻‍♀️ yes me too, came looking for a thread on this and no doubt when I press back it'll send me all the way to the top again! (Using chrome)

Please sort this out MN, it's highly annoying!!

SpringIsSprung1 · 09/09/2025 22:29

Same here, Google android

Deeprug · 10/09/2025 06:21

Just came on to report the same. I haven't got time for this!!!

Howinthehelldidthishappen · 10/09/2025 08:54

Yep started happening for me yesterday, on my phone and laptop.

HebeMumsnet · 10/09/2025 09:27

Morning, everyone. Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We're looking into it right now and will be back as soon as we have any update.

Sidge · 10/09/2025 16:57

Still happening for me. Whether I'm using Chrome or Safari, on my ipad, iphone or desktop.

It's making MN even less user friendly than it ever has been.

Saponarium · 11/09/2025 03:51

This is happening to me too and severely curtailing the usability of the site for me, to the point where I'm not enjoying using it. I usually work my way down reading the posts in Active, but when I 'go back' I end up at the top of Active again and have to scroll past all the posts in order to find my place again. I don't have time for that and posts move around and I can't find where I was. Bloody annoying. Please fix it!!

ChristmasPuddingAllRound · 11/09/2025 06:33

Still happening. Android and chrome.

muddyford · 11/09/2025 06:37

And if I add a post the thread goes back to the start, so same sort of problem.
