Why aren’t you banning the far-right agitators?

Deleting their posts but allowing them to keep inciting racial hatred under the same accounts is making the site unusable. Why should we keep reporting them if you’re not going to do anything meaningful about it?

Agh! Edited as I think I misunderstood. I think you mean you have spotted another thread that is trying to stir things up and reported it rather than reported this one! So sorry!

Edited

Yes, that was what I meant. The thread has now been removed.

I just realised *ChockysChimichanga *commented earlier on this thread, I think we have misunderstood this post.

Yes, I have misunderstood.

Apologies to you, @ChockysChimichanga

MNHQ ought now really to shut down the thread about 'Tommy's' film. I note they deleted a link to it. It's really irresponsible to encourage people to watch it.

BIossomtoes · 08/08/2024 08:51

It’s gone.

Piggywaspushed · 08/08/2024 09:25

Excellent. Some good calling out of 'facts' on that thread but it shouldn't have stood that long.

The thread about the husband feels off but not sure what I can report it on. New user or namechanger as well.

That one pinged my spidey senses too so I reported it.

PandoraSox · 08/08/2024 14:13

So did I.

I'm noting some similarities with pre-election narratives now. "I've always voted Labour but...." has morphed into "I'm a Muslim but...."

haha.... reminds me of some people I know out in the real world who now say they didn't vote for Brexit.
Yes, you effing did! You told me at the time and you were proud of it. Don't rewrite history!

I just laugh at them.

I don’t think the issue is the far right exactly, it’s that mumsnet is very clearly being targeted by Russian destabilisation campaigns and isn’t doing anything about it.
It may be a combination of “normal people” picking up “controversial” talking points from elsewhere or direct attacks. There’s clearly been an uptick since the election. All the posts on very decisive topics should be investigated.
