Why did the "Lisa Johnson One to Many" thread get deleted?

PermanentIyExhaustedPigeon · 19/03/2024 18:26

I've seen the deletion message but don't understand why the comments that broke talk guidelines couldn't have been deleted and the rest of the thread left to stand.

Lisa Johnson claims that she had it removed because she put pressure on MN to do so.

Can anyone from MNHQ clarify please?

Can anybody find 2024's One To Many T&Cs? The link on her website goes to 2023's.

@OriginalOP may from her sign up?

Interestingly, I do not have any. I've got all the emails but I can't see any terms and conditions on them, it's mostly links to the website which has since been updated.

TheShellBeach · 28/03/2024 12:09

Do companies keep records of their terms and conditions from a few years ago?

So you paid Lisa Johnson £2,000 but were not required to read and sign any Terms & Conditions?

Geebray · 28/03/2024 13:29

Was there maybe a payment process you went through where you had to tick a box that you had read the T&Cs?

I honestly can't remember but I don't think so because I'm the sort of person who actually reads those! To be fair, it's a course and when I buy products I don't generally have Ts and Cs to read so maybe there's no requirement/need?

I don't buy courses so I don't know what the standard would be.

Geebray · 28/03/2024 14:07

The T&Cs don't need to be in an email, but if it is a link then you need to have confirmed that you read/agreed to them when you signed up. Did this not happen? It could have been a checkbox on the payment page, after the link to the T&Cs had been provided, and you agreed to them via the checkbox.

This is probably how it worked so unless you click on the link you don't see them. Maybe they are the same as last year's?

GiddyGoldHam · 28/03/2024 14:16

I did find this when I was looking for the T & Cs. Personally I don't call that selling with integrity.

But you have to indicate that you have read the T&Cs (even if you haven't, like many of us don't!).

Yes 100%. I just mean that they might be very hard to find unless you are either signing up to OTM or have signed up and ask to see them.

Geebray · 28/03/2024 14:40

Well if people signed up under 2023 T&Cs, I wonder what that means?

Anyway, back to whether Lisa is a coach coaching people on how to be come coaches in order to coach other people:

This Agreement, hereinafter referred to as “the Agreement," is made between [Lisa Johnson] a company registered in England and Wales with company registration number [ 09316866 ] and whose registered office is at [10a High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AN ] (“the Coach’) and you (“the Client’) together referred to as the “Parties”

What is the actual goal on this thread?

To destroy someone?

Everyone makes mistakes it's not as though she has done anything criminal or evil.

I feel the longer this post is going on the worse it's going to get.
Almost obsessing over every little thing she's ever said/ done,

I understand mob mentality is a thing and evidently has definitely been activated in a lot of posters here but why carry it on for so long?

There's a point where it does become bullying no matter what you think of Lisa she's a human being who does not deserve to have a group of strangers gunning for her because of one incident.

Surely there is a more useful way to spend your time Such as helping people on the forums who need advice and help?

That is exactly what we are doing. Lisa Johnson is asking women (it's nearly always women) to sign up to her One To Many course for £2,000. A poster started a thread asking for reviews, or if anyone had done the course, because she couldn't find a single thing online that wasn't in one of Lisa or Lisa's affiliates Facebook pages/groups.

We're just digging down into what that course is, exactly. There are only about five of us doing it, hardly a "mob"! And Lisa Johnson has threatened each and every one of us with libel - so who is gunning for who, here?

Geebray · 28/03/2024 14:47

I am quoting from her actual Terms and Conditions. Lisa Johnson bills herself as a "Global Business Strategist", but in the T&Cs for her OTM course it is legally set out that she is a Coach.

I feel the longer this post is going on the worse it's going to get.

And yet here you are, adding to it.

she's a human being who does not deserve to have a group of strangers gunning for her because of one incident.

Which incident are you referring to? In my honest recollection, there were a few.

On her own platform Lisa is saying she's now delighted that there is a thread about her. She also allegedly hinted in a video that followers post on here to keep the thread going. Perhaps that's what you're doing.

Behind the scenes she's threatening libel. And we are gathering evidence that backs up everything we said. Is that OK with you?

Oh and as a fact, a post was deleted, due to the threat of libel where I actually praised lots of things that Lisa does.

GiddyGoldHam · 28/03/2024 14:59

Everyone makes mistakes

Indeed. In my world people apologise for their mistakes. Especially name calling.

why carry it on for so long

You know if Lisa hadn't come onto the thread that has now been deleted and said what she did and also posted what she did on her social media (which she also then deleted), the whole thing would have fizzled out. Did you see the original thread on here and what Lisa wrote? And the posts she deleted?

GiddyGoldHam · 28/03/2024 15:00

This is also my question @LuckyRosePombear

LuckyRosePombear · 28/03/2024 15:11

Im not going to reply individually as the tone towards me has already turned unnecessarily hostile and let's where I'll leave it. 😂

Ooh, I've been deleted! I wasn't being nasty or calling names, but obvs can't say what I said or I'll be deleted again!

LuckyRosePombear · 28/03/2024 15:35

Apologies for assuming genders etc.

Saying things like "yet here you are" 🙄

And coming up with theories such as me being some sort of plant to carry on this thread or something.... just all seems a tad silly and not exactly polite especially when I only came on here to say that I think it is going a bit too far.

Crack on, people.
