And if not, it looks as though I've hidden it. Can anyone tell me how to unhide it?

FFS some of you really are pretty nuts and vile about total strangers.

This isn’t sounding entirely complimentary either about the posters who I assume are total strangers to you.

I am sure there were good reasons for that.

You know this was a petty incident before a wedding that you are all blowing up to a major incident. It really was not.

It's Harry who's blowing it up in his book and Meghan in the OW interview. You're right in that it's petty, but look at who's blowin' it out of proportion. More evidence of imagined sleights picked apart years after they should have been forgotten.

Was Kate in Norfolk at time of the texts because Meghan tells her to go to Kensington Palace to get the dress altered. If so then I can understand Kate's frustration. An unplanned rush from Norfolk to central London with a newborn wouldn't be welcomed.

Oo we are back live!

Margrethe · 09/01/2023 21:08

I have sympathy for both women. Both were in uniquely stressful situations, new born and wedding. Both would be under intense scrutiny. I think they can both be forgiven. It’s a big nothing-burger.

Harry seems to be the problem.

We didn't write a fecking book about it.

Hilarious, all the attempted posts popping back up!

Serenster · 09/01/2023 21:11

Interesting that Harry’s apparently given an account of Meghan’s texts with Kate in 2018.

Meghan in her sworn statements to the court in her case against ANL, explaining why she couldn’t disclose in the court proceedings as she had been ordered to do:

"I was unable to retrieve any text messages with Mr Knauf, because an automatic deletion system had been implemented on my phone by a cyber security specialist brought to Kensington Palace for my devices in 2016. Mr Knauf was aware of this meeting

changeme4this · 09/01/2023 21:14

sounds to me like the girls dresses only turned up 4 days before the wedding and it was charlottes first time in trying it on. It says somewhere that Harry says the dresses were only made from telephone measurements and not a proper fitting, so any wonder as the wedding was such a public event, everyone is stressed!

the dresses should have arrived much sooner along with a proper fitting… this didn’t have to become a ‘thing’ for anyone.

No the Palace leaked first. They said Meghan made Kate cry because Kate wanted Charlotte to wear tights.

Did they? Do you have proof?

Maybe there were multiple incidents dresses one day, tights another - and lots of people ended up in tears? Or maybe there were none?

When was the baby brain comment made for instance? Was that on text or face to face?

The palace didn’t leak that story - why would they make something up if they already had something clearly misogynistic to hand?

BelenaConhamHarter · 09/01/2023 21:18

StarInTheHeavens · 09/01/2023 20:01

As someone who sews, I can't understand how these dresses never fit in the first place. They're no-expense-spared dresses made especially for the occasion, they should be near perfect first go.

You would have thought that the bridesmaids would have had toiles made for a fitting at the very least.

But it is 100% easier to just remake sometimes, speaking from bitter experience. If your balance is off - which the hems suggest it was - you can't just take it in a bit. The hem won't just be longer at the back, there's a good chance it'll be tipping back and making the wearer uncomfortable. Three year olds are usually the first to complain if there's something rubbing somewhere. Can you imagine the shot show if Charlotte had chucked one half way through the ceremony?

tobee · 09/01/2023 21:18

Whoops it's still a bit jittery

This is really a test post

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 21:19

Proof? It was in the papers and people on MN talked about it for days with all the Royalists claiming that wearing a bridesmaid dress without tights was common and Kate was right.

Serenster · 09/01/2023 21:19

The story also came out six months after the wedding. Another journalist has claimed that the source was initially an indiscreet conversation by a Givenchy assistant that was then confirmed by Meghan’s PA Melissa Toubati after she was bullied out, and inadvertently confirmed by Jessica Mulroney.

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 21:21

Oh come on! It was part of the Palace campaign against Meghan.

All the - she is uppity, rude and she made Kate cry!

tobee · 09/01/2023 21:22

This much is true.

People are deeply entrenched on both sides and both (can be) slightly batty.

And yet would not admit it on pain of death.

PS Prince Harry is also Royal imho and therefore part of the problem

Are you for real?

When does something being in the papers and discussed by randoms on the internet equal proof?

Have you been listening to H&M - all media is lies………or is it just things that don’t fit your narrative are lies and things that do are truth?

Can’t have it both ways

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 21:25

I have just defended Kate on another thread.

These people are strangers. I do not know why people get so extreme about this.
