Frankly I'd suggest it was a sign she was massively stressed - needed to off load some tasks and needed some help and actual support.

I doubt it's in keeping with Debretts. Not do I think announcing your pregnancy at a close family wedding. That alone from the more practical and emotional side of things would have ruffled the stade feathers of some of the family.

And yes, the pressure to look good at the wedding / if there was underlying tension and jealousy (which we know to be true with the Notts Cottage 'unfairness') between Meghan and Kate would be hard to just write off if that was the case ('she's done it deliberately because she's insecure and doesn't want to be upstaged by me' narrative).

Certainly it's hard to argue it was considerate of Kate or Eugenie from what is in the public eye but we don't know what the conversations were - not what influence the Queen might have had (as technically I believe she's the one who would set the date not the Bride and Groom).

It seems that Meghan had asked Kate to go to the talor at KP. Kate instead wanted her dressmaker to remake them, 4 days before the wedding.

We have no idea how the dresses came about, what other contact happened before this, but here we are on MN with a bunch of people having a go at Meghan and tearing her down saying her dress was shit and her bridemaids dresses were shit.

I have always said this whole wedding topic was horrible to begin with because Kate had just given birth and Meghan was stressed beyond belief. Both women were exhausted and stressed. These things happen and this never would have been a story if someone had not leaked the tights story.

I don't think either of them were very polite to each other. Kate's opening text was quite abrupt. Meghan's response was rude - and so was Kate's reply. However both were stressed so probably not going to be at their best.

To be fair to Kate though, Charlotte's dress looked a mess. It may have been handmade by Givenchy but it was too big with a wonky hem. The fabric was quite unforgiving as there was a stiffness to it - if it had been something softer like chiffon then it wouldn't have been so obvious. There is only so much you can do with adjustments before it gets to the stage that the dress needs to be taken apart and re-made.
