Dear MN Towers, could we consider moving the Buying and selling listings to a separate board?

any last comments .................... no ............then i think we should close this thread as i fear bitching will continue

VictorianSqualor · 17/01/2008 22:13

Yes, you just go on to your registration and change your name, you can then move your profile over with 'profile mover' it's what everyone does at xmas etc.

sparklygothkat · 17/01/2008 22:13

mummy2LandE if you go into 'my mumsnet' at the top, you can log in and change your nickname there. HTH

Mummy2LibbyandEllis · 17/01/2008 22:14

Sorry, lowest form of wit, I know! Just to tempting not to reply

ZippiBabes · 17/01/2008 22:14

you can change your name as many times as you want and revert back just go to the registration details page and type anpther in

controlfreakyhunnibabe · 17/01/2008 22:15

i'll say for the 500000000000 th time, i don't think i have been "bitching". feel free to point out where i have been if you disagree.....

if you want to change your name go to "my mumsnet" on the blue bar at the top. click on "registration details" and follow the instructions.

Mummy2LibbyandEllis · 17/01/2008 22:17

I apologised for my rudeness on the other thread controlfreaky - thats not me normally, and again I'm sorry if I caused offence. I think though that there was a fair amount of rudeness on both sides, whether you choose to see it that way or not.

VS and sparklygothkat - thank you both, will think of something a little more imaginative

twospecialgirls · 17/01/2008 22:19

maybe i worded it wrong then controlfreaky you have been very sarcastic instead of bitchy then either way i think it should stop 1

controlfreakygobshite · 17/01/2008 22:22

VictorianSqualor · 17/01/2008 22:24

Mummy2LibbyandEllis, something no-one else sounds like, and everyone will remember it, you'll probably go through about ten before we stop saying 'No, thats too much like ***' though

MrsPhilipGlenister · 17/01/2008 22:24

Not a major movie star exactly but I thought I'd dust down this one...he still makes me go all funny...

MrsPhilipGlenister · 17/01/2008 22:27

Oh dear I might have to revise what I said about "them and us" .

Think Life on Mars, ladies.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 17/01/2008 22:28

SGK

It was not underhand, it was a statement of fact.

You do not fall into that category, as you use all parts of MN.

However I now realise that someone with a chip on their shoulder might take offence a lá Mummy to whomsoever may take offence.

twospecialgirls · 17/01/2008 22:30

mpg still dont know never seen that !

Rhubarb · 17/01/2008 22:31

I really wanted to get riled by this topic. But somehow my heart isn't really in it.

MrsPhilipGlenister · 17/01/2008 22:32

Rhubarb - you slacker!

How your bro, btw?

Mummy2LibbyandEllis · 17/01/2008 22:36

twospecialgirls - Here

Rhubarb · 17/01/2008 22:38

Aw thanks PhilipG, he's much the same really. Has good days, but then goes on a real downer. Had a bit of a panic today when he went missing in his car, but he turned up again. Goes off to some army mental institution next week, which will be a blessed relief for my sis as she's had to put her life on hold to be there for him. Not far from us this place either so we can keep an eye on him.
Think he's out of immediate danger, but still walking on eggshells hoping that nothing happens to change his mood.

Anyway, back to the thread - I really don't see anything much to get het up about. The thread titles in capitals and textspeak are very annoying, but then so are many other thread titles. And yeah, they don't tend to come into other areas of Mumsnet, but since they don't seem to be very popular, maybe that's a good thing? I just can't seem to care either way!
