As you're one of the 'Huns' don't you think you could it put it to them to find a fairer way of selling? Less threads per person, less bumps and no resale of joblots, that you would stick to??

I mean, it would make sense, if you lot actually found a way to work round everyone else thinking it's unfair that the sale board is so monopolised, also more of us would be likely to actually read the for sale boards if we didn't feel they were taking the piss.

Oh, and that for sale boards weren;'t used for chat, maybe you could start a 'chat' thread for sellers or 'Huns' to keep the for sale boards purely for sale items.

If it started to work that way then surely any new posters that came on could eb informed, 'we had a few arguments over this and decided the fairest way to operate the for sale boards is thus, and would appreciate it if you did the same'.

Pannacotta , I just think there are bigger fish to fry in this debate tbh and it could be she has been unbanned , not that she has deigned to respond to my query directly. At least her current items aren't purely commercial sales. (btw I wasn't hunting, just happened across the posts on a Last Hour search yesterday)

it is 'us and them' tough, twospecialgirls, nothing we say to them is goign to be listened to, which is why it is so frigging annoying, there are ways around it, without even getting MNHQ involved (who I assume really dont want to take sides) but it has to be a seller that changes things.

It would be so simple for a seller to start a thread saying, 'ok, enough of this arguing, we're thinkign we;ll limit our threads to however many a week, try not to bump more than three times a day, for the morning/afternoon/night MNers and only sell stuff we really have that we are getting rid of,' then for all the other sellers to agree and hey presto, problem solved.

VS - why did you have to start your response in that way? The whole and reference to my name doesnt make it feel like a nice place to post. I'm being honest. I started my opening line on this thread saying I was nervous about posting here, and its for that exact reason. I came and read this thread and had the balls to post that I AGREED with what most people were saying. I'm not part of any 'group' on B&S but enjoy the banter that goes on there and enjoy even more grabbing a bargain. I would love to post more on other boards but this seems to be the sort of response I have recieved on the occasions that I have - sarcasm and belittling. (Not from the majority, the majority, when I have needed help and advice have been fantastic)

I'm sure you will reply that I am being too touchy and should grow a thicker skin but thats not me.

In response however to your actual suggestions, I again whole-heartedly agree. No need really for constant bumps every 10mins and a chat thread on For Sale would be a great idea

Oh my goodness, I was naming you in particular because you are one of the people that sells, and could actually get this sorted! Like I said, if tried to speak to the sellers and put forward some ideas to make the for sale boards less monopolised, I wouldnt be listened to, however you probably would.

As for I am trying to be reasonable!

It's just that this has gone way past anything getting sorted out that I felt I had to put it so my post was read properly.

Aitch, I have more balls in RL! I dont get jumped on for my opinions or ridiculed because of my name - I can have a discussion with someone and hold my own. I dont feel you are all superior to me, which is why I dont understand why some people feel the need to be a little patronising?
