exactly LIZS. it was this thread (in Wanted rather than for sale) that got me going in the first place.... and led to my err, modest propsal to ban the for sale threads....

Thank you Dinosaur - thats how I feel and the reason for my 'feeling nervous' comment to begin with. Why is it a case of 'you v us'? I dont feel I'm a part of either side to be honest!

Dinosaur, I think the point is that some people seem to come on MN and never do anything except sell, and sell alot, so are using it purely for profit, which riles some of us.

its very offensive that some keep making jibes about education so some are not educated as well as others so what they shouldnt be made to feel bad

Dinosaur, because then people who use MN for more than just profit (which isn't what the for sale boards were meant for if you read the note on the for sale board) try to post a topic to sell something it gets completely overlooked, which isn;t fair.

Yes, Dinosaur it would be hard to police, surely the best solution would be if MNers could come to an agreement and point any new sellers in that direction??

Of course we couldnt force anyone to do anything, but if everyone agreed to do it then explained it to a newbie I'd have thought it would be much fairer to everyone.

The ladies posting on B&S should police themselves. The rules VS listed (I think it was here) are more than reasonable
