Site keeps crashing mid page - anyone else ?

It's happened about 9 times today and 3 times yesterday. SO annoying !!! Please fix it

Mine goes blank and then reloads all the time, iPhone safari.

I've had more posts wiped out than I've managed to complete today. I've given up commenting on several threads because I couldn't be bothered to spend another several minutes retyping a post that deleted.

We're very much trying to get this resolved - we're really sorry it's taking a long time. We're struggling to find the root of the issue, but we will keep you updated.

In the meantime, would you possibly be able to try a different browser to access the site?

Can we check how many posts you're viewing per page? If it's 1000 please can you change it - it may be that the device doesn't have enough memory to load that amount of posts.

Which device - my device? It's been set to 1000 posts to a page for yonks. There's no memory-space problem at my end.

Are you able to test viewing less posts per page to see if that fixes it?
We don't expect you to keep it like that, we just want to pinpoint whereabouts this is coming from!

I've had two threads recently where I have been second response i.e. third post on a thread and it has crashed.
The teeniest little thread and it still crashes.

I dont seem to have the option to view 100 posts per page any more which is also annoying ! And I agree with the page crashing mid post, it happened to me twice during a post. I gave up.

I'm using the browser on an Amazon tablet, some times it's lovley,other times it's very slow and almost like the page is eating too much ram, memory.

Just done it again. Four posts on the thread and it crashed, losing my attempted post. OP has attached a photo but nobody has used the quote facility.
Surely a laptop should be able to cope with that?

Do not have hundreds of posts - in fact the last two have been threads I've tried to respond to from 'Unanswered Threads'

Thanks for keeping us updated everyone. This is proving quite tricky to replicate so we don't have any updates yet. We are going to continue investigating this.

If the site continues to crash for you then please could you try posting on a different browser? Just until we have this sorted.

Also, if anyone has a moment, could you give this a go? It has instructions that may prevent the crashes.

To better describe my experience, sometimes it's lovley, fast typing then press post, and valla, it appears in the thread, then other times the typing goes slow, then when press post, it starts spinning for a bit, as if it's trying to post it, then sometimes I have to manually refresh the browser, and hope it's posted my comment.

Same. Android phone, using the app. Every time I get to a similar point on the Captain thread on litter tray it reloads, but also happens on other threads at random times.

This happens me on iPhone app. When I scroll across an ad it shoots back up the page.

(Laptop) .... I can be typing away, and halfway through a sentence, it suddenly shoots up to the top of the page, and everything I have already typed disappears in a puff of smoke okay, I might be lying about the smoke

Nope, it’s crashing for me repeatedly since this ‘relaunch’

It's improved for me. I don't know if it's significant, due to my browser and phone, but it isn't as bad.
