Can we please have a MN Classic option for those who can't cope with the changes?

Would it be so difficult to have a MN Classic option - which we have always had, and which some of us have been using since the original format change - for posters who find the changing format difficult? There are many posters with neurodiversity, for example, who will probably stop posting here because it all abruptly looks and feels wrong

If we could just have an option to make the background a dull blue, grey, green or sepia (or anything other than white!) it would make a huge difference; I'm not going to be able to use it much at all with the white unfortunately

i was using new mumsnet, not classic, but i did have the posts with a colour background, this white is too start.

The font is slightly too large, needs bringing down a point i think, and on my laptop screen its all squished into this 6 inch space with 2 inches to the left and about 6 or 7 to the right.. of just.. blank, grey space.

Please sort the formatting out!

And why can't I do "see all" for the OP's posts and then Flip? It was such a handy way to catch up!

I am sure you can, it will probably cost you money, though.

The white background is awful and the print is really pale. The site feels cold and bleak now it’s horrible.

I'm not keen on the reply quotes now being in a grey box, when scrolling down to skip to OP posts or whatever it really makes me stop like it's an important post which is annoying when on some threads there can be so many. Also not so keen on everything being white

On my normal sized iPhone everything is squished into a 4cm square due to a massive ad at the top. Font is massive so can only see literally 3 threads at a time in the list (previously it was 10+). Horrible horrible, won’t be using as much.

This is horrible & everything is now stuck in a small strip that is maybe 1/3 of the width of my screen so it's an endless scroll to read anything.

Why do this?

It's really bright and it's almost impossible to differentiate between people's posts. Can you not make the background customisable so people can have it a darker colour?

I miss that too. I think you have to subscribe to Premium to get that now.

You can change that in account settings

I have that option and I don’t have premium.

Nope it's really difficult to view this and scrolling is not helping my eyes. Please Dan we have a classic look

Go into customise, via Talk and downward arrow thing. You can change the colour of your posts, the OPs, and other stuff there.

Another vote for a classic option. Please. This is awful. As another MNetter said this morning, it's like trying to talk inside an excel spreadsheet.

I hate it too. Apart from how it looks, it doesn't work properly!

Why is everything so white? It’s like reading an old fashioned word document, it looks dreadful.

Is advanced search gone? I can't seem to find it now.
