is anyone else have trouble posting tonight? my keyboard keeps disappearing mid word whilst typing I'm on a samsung smart phone?

It's purely a late night thing for me. Which is what makes it odd. Definitely after 11pm, could be later. I'll try to log the time if it happens again tonight.

Swype keyboard, chrome, Samsung Galaxy s10.

(Sorry, not going through all that resetting stuff at this point. I don't want to risk losing any Swype word memory)

Reset keyboard. No difference. The problems occur through the night from perhaps 11pm. Always seems okay in the morning say from 6am. Make of that what you will.

Testing now to see what happens.
I gave up last night as I couldn't write more than 2 or 3 words.

There's a couple of posts Ive given up on after retyping several times. Really not great.

Keyboard disappeared three times while writing this but managed to click on text box to stop it navigating elsewhere.

What is going on!?!?

This is only a mn problem for me and putting me off posting as its not sustainable and frustration is huge after losing a post.

I don't have a Samsung but it is android. There's no other website I have this with either and like a pp, I've given up a few times when experiencing it too.

It was happening to me again at lunchtime. What's happening @MNHQ?

It only seems to happen very late at night for me too and is perfectly fine at the moment and right throughout the day. Not sure on the exact time but I'd say it starts to happen about midnight ish. I've lost many posts as the disappearing keyboard makes me press on something else and takes me off the thread I've given up many times. Hope MN are still looking into this as it's incredibly frustrating. Reseting the keyboard won't help as it's a MN issue not an issue with our devices.

This is a test post to see if anything untoward happens. And yes it has. Four times so far in these three lines.

It must be the stroke of midnight that does it.

Testing here too. Hmmmmm nope did it once, twice now. How annoying. We are like Cinderella (did it again just then) after Midnight (and again) the heels come off. Ho hum.

So glad I found this thread. It’s been driving me nuts!

iPad - Safari browser.

The amount of times I get halfway through and then the screen resets with none of my post showing. Plus, typing said post seems “delayed”.

Happening for me too tonight.

I hit “post” so as not to lose what I’d typed, as the “delay” typing was obvious.

There’s no way, for me, of screenshotting what happens - it’s impossible to take a grab of something when you don’t know it’s about to happen.

There’s probably an upside to this - it’s likely that some of MN are happy that I can’t post my late-night, insomnia-driven, inane ramblings - every cloud and all that 😂

@LilyMumsnet resetting the keyboard hasn't worked.

It can’t just be a Samsung problem. It happens on my iPhone, using either chrome or safari and on the web browser. I don’t have the app
