Website continually crashing on mobile device?

I’m using IOS and pretty much every day now, MN will scroll for a while but then just stop half way through the page, nothing else loads, it stops on loading and I can’t click any of the buttons on the bottom nav.

All other websites work fine. Any ideas @MNHQ?

It's unusable for me today. The Talk app is OK but despite me being logged in it won't show me "I'm on" or "I'm watching" as it says I need to be logged in

This has just happened 5 times in a row for me, its impossible to read anything. I have to close the tab down completely.

Yep, me too. Android 10 on a phone using Chrome. I can't scroll past certain ads, it just sticks. If I switch the screen on and off it works again, but it's a pain. CEX is the ad that's causing it the most. Keep meaning to clear my cache and maybe select non targeted ads.

Exactly he same info and problem here. Several times over the last week, today included.

Thanks, I don't think a screenshot will show anything as it looks normal, just refuses to scroll. I'll have a go though next time it does it, needless to say it's working at the moment!

Same here, the screen looks ok, it just freezes and its difficult to get out of Mumsnet

Here's a screen shot, but asfai can see it looks normal. The advert is just off screen as I've scrolled past (it was Uniqlo) and the screen froze. Had to switch the screen off and on to get it moving again. Usually it freezes with the advert still there. I cleared the cache which has helped a bit, but it is still happening.

I’m so glad it’s not my iPad, I thought I was going to have to get a new one! In safari the screen constantly freezes, can’t select a thread, scroll up or down, have to close the tab and start again, and then it does it again - so annoying!

I have this today too - page freezes and I cant get past it or go back to active etc also on Samsung, mobile (not app) chrome.

It's happening for me with the laithwaites advert.

Happening frequently over the last few weeks. Chrome on android Samsung galaxy.
Currently it seems to be an ad for bluebird care causing the issue or mumsnet anabelle karamel recipe videos

This Dunelm ad seems to be freezing my browser - multiple times. Android, Chrome mobile site. Been happening for weeks with various ads.

Page doesn’t fully load and freezes. Impossible to use at the moment. Been like this for a few days.

Hi - thanks for these reports. @goodwinter Please can you tell us what happens if you click on the 'close' button? Does it still freeze the page?

Also, if you can provide the url it would be really helpful! If you turn your phone/device to airplane mode or turn off the connection, and then click on the ad, this will show the URL which you can copy and paste without actually opening the webpage.

I think it’s connected to the floating screen. I’ve reported it several times. It’s the ads. They make the website unusable for me. The screen wobbles and floats. The screen freezes.

I know you have to keep the lights on, but the ads are making the site hard work to navigate.

On the plus side, I’ve cleaned the car and got through my mammoth ironing pile as a result.
