I’m using IOS and pretty much every day now, MN will scroll for a while but then just stop half way through the page, nothing else loads, it stops on loading and I can’t click any of the buttons on the bottom nav.

All other websites work fine. Any ideas @MNHQ?

Same here, android using chrome. It's driving me mad!

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 07:45

OMG I thought it was just me! iPhone 7 & Samsung Galaxy Tab something, both doing it. I’d assumed it was our WiFi! Strangely it never happens on the main page, only on a thread. So far…

Roadtrip2018 · 16/10/2021 09:06

I'm having the same issue on android. It's been like this over the past 3 days. As soon as I get to an advertisement it just hangs. So frustrating!!

tiredvommachineasaurus · 16/10/2021 09:09

Me too!

Bexlily · 16/10/2021 09:22

I'm having the same problem.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 16/10/2021 10:26

I keep getting a huge black ad blocking much of the ipad screen, that tells me to ‘rotate your device’!

Bugger off!

Mabelface · 16/10/2021 10:54

Bump, cos it's doing me head in.

AnyFucker · 16/10/2021 11:00

Same here

Ijustknowitstimetogo · 16/10/2021 11:03

Glad it’s not just me i can’t fully view any thread at the moment.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 11:05

@GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER here is the thread for the massive ad.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 11:07

Just noticed it's only certain ads. Some ads embedded in threads are ok, others not. The one at the top of the screen is also not immune, I had the same one pop up 3 times & crash my tablet before I could post the above.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 11:19

The ad at the top of this screenshot has caused my tablet to freeze several times so far this morning.

And another four times. All caused by the same advert. Please block it MN!

I thought it was my phone!

I'm on android using Firefox and every evening it just stops working, I get a warning that my phone memory is low but it doesn't happen with any other sites

cantgetmyheadroundit · 16/10/2021 11:39

Same here. I posted last night about the same issue. It's driving me insane.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 11:54

It's crashed at least 50 times so far today. CBA any more, site is unusable until this is fixed.

CarolineMumsnet · 16/10/2021 18:09

Sorry we look to have left you talking amongst yourselves about this for a while Blush.

It looks like this happening across a range of devices. While we look into what's happening here, could you let us know if you are on the app, web or mobile site?

Also, is it always when you get to an ad that it freezes or is sometimes freezing without an ad?

Thank you!

Bexlily · 16/10/2021 18:11

I'm on the mobile site and its happening with the ads.

Beamur · 16/10/2021 18:13

Keeps hanging for me too.
Android mobile

cantgetmyheadroundit · 16/10/2021 18:42

Mobile site for me too, Android using Chrome.

cantgetmyheadroundit · 16/10/2021 18:43

If it freezes and there's no ad visible, when it starts working again, there is an ad as you scroll down.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 19:24

Mobile site on both devices. Always caused by an ad, not always the same one. It's taken me 5 attempts to post this.

AnotherMansCause · 16/10/2021 19:25

And it's been happening for about 3-4 days.

FindingMeno · 16/10/2021 19:27

Solar flare disruption.
Disclaimer: I saw an exciting headline and thought I'd run with it Grin

MillieMumsnet · 16/10/2021 20:44

Hello everyone, we are looking into this now.
Can you let us know the exact device you are using and the browser and if it's a specific advert and if it happens every time or sometimes.

If you can can capture a screen record or any further screenshots that will really help us to get to the bottom of what's going on.
