Enormous ad banners that you accidentally click on all the time?

I'm on the mobile site on an iPhone 11 (one of the biggest screens!) and these new banners that are triple the depth of the previous/normal ads are the bloody bane of my MN life.
They are damn near impossible to not click on when you're scrolling upwards.

Is that it? You get revenue for clicks so you made it so that I accidentally click on it about 29 times a day??

The cruise one is soooo annoying

I use the mobile site not the app and I get the attached. Very annoying as it takes up the whole screen, virtually.

This is really quite annoying. I don't want a cruise and having to constantly close tabs for their website is hardly likely to change my mind.

As you can see a tiny wee space top and bottom to scroll. And you either get redirected to playstation or search on mn

They take up most of the screen for me too. I nearly manage to avoid accidentally clicking on them but it's very difficult. I have a pretty decent sized phone as well, so I don't think it's a small phone issue.

Someone else who is totally frustrated with the cruise one on the app. I have about 1000 windows open in safari as I catch it every time it appears in a thread.

That cruise advert is so frustrating. It now comes up in 'Frequently Visited' on my Safari because of how often I accidentally click on it.

I'm using an iPhone 8 Plus and the Mumsnet app.

I first commented on this on the 25th April and it did seem to get better for a while, but it's back to how it was. Possibly even worse!

It's always that bloody cruise company. Awful awful. I don't know how they make it so easy to accidentally click on!!

Just echoing the comments here, it makes the app very hard to use.

Oh wow, almost like my thoughts have been projected in to a post as I've just 'clicked' the cricet (whatever that is) ad for the millionth time. Do mumsnet control the sensitivity as I've never had this issue before on any other app or site but merely scrolling over it opens the ad. The other day it even opened a whole second sun page. Happening several times a day and I suspect someone is making profit from these ads being opened even though it's not deliberate, I don't look at them and have no idea what they are for

The cruise company advert seemed to disappear for a while, but it's back now with a vengeance!
16 tabs open in safari and they're all for that cruise.
Why is that advert so sensitive? Very frustrating when you're trying to read through a thread and it keeps clicking away.

Yes so annoying!! When it’s clicked it opens a new page too so takes me off mumsnet and most the time I don’t bother clicking back to mumsnet because it happens too often!

Adding my voice too! So annoying, this evening I just kept clicking accidentally to a stupid ad. Wouldn't let me scroll past.

I'm just getting constant pop up block message pop ups, which are annoying in their own right.

Nespresso here too. They're shit out of luck no matter how many times it clicks through because we have another pod machine and we're not even finished paying for it through the 'here's your free machine, now you have to take a box of pods every month for the next year' scheme.
