As above. Why have videos of 'Amy' and her baby started appearing in every single thread I open? It's very annoying. Am I expected to pay for Premium or something to stop this?! Thanks...

If her face is in my face on every page I look at, why can't I comment on that, or on the appropriateness of the presented imagery within the visible context?

She must know she's in an advert? Being paid, presumably?

If she doesnt know she's in an advertising campaign, then it needs taking down.

UseOfWeapons · 22/03/2021 17:01

Yes, very annoying.
Seems to have got worse recently, would be very glad to see them gone.

BoobsOnTheMoon · 22/03/2021 17:02

I've not seen this but then I've got MN Premium so hopefully I'll be spared Hmm

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2021 17:23

I have mn premium and am not being spared.

But don't be horrid about the lady in the video. That just isn't on.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2021 17:24

She's still haunting this thread.

She's still haunting everywhere!
MadMadMadamMim · 22/03/2021 17:26

Somewhat ironically Amy is on this thread too...

I'm sick of Amy.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2021 17:36

@soniamumsnet In the screen shot it says that premium users won't get image based adverts like this. Why do I have it?

Not a good look. TBH it looks cheap & poorly put together. I'd presumed it was spam, along the lines of those porn or "Russian bride" type ads.

oh. Blush My payment card had expired and I hadn't updated my subscription. Oh well, I clearly didn't miss premium until today.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 22/03/2021 17:45

I agree that it's entirely irrelevant to my stage of parenthood and has become very tedious. Get rid, @MNHQ please. Also, it seems to me that her little one isn't really of the age where you'd still need such a monitor?

Saucery · 22/03/2021 17:46

She is passing on her poor food choices to the next generation. Makes sense she might be the type who cba to nip upstairs to check on a toddler 🤷‍♀️

Chemenger · 22/03/2021 18:06

Baby monitors? I don’t think I need one, since my youngest child is at university, yet I have this video playing on every thread all day. Very ineffective advertising.

StanfordPines · 22/03/2021 18:17

It’s all getting a bit meta.

AND

For added annoyance....

Once you've turned Amy off on a page, if you happen to scroll past her on that page again....

Amy turns herself back on, you simply cannot shut her up!!!

Tal45 · 22/03/2021 18:44

I haven't seen it, I guess because I have adblock, it's free and I'd really recommend it!

SoupDragon · 22/03/2021 18:46

I also have Adblock. It has not blocked Ami.
Notavegan · 22/03/2021 18:46

It's bloody annoying

Branleuse · 22/03/2021 18:47

I have premium and i dont get any ads since.
Makes such a difference

CodMouth · 22/03/2021 18:47

It’s annoying.

WhentheDealGoesDown · 22/03/2021 18:48

Adblock doesn't block Amy, she pops up on all my threads, at least she is silent though

golddustwomen · 22/03/2021 18:49

I have no idea who Amy is!
Mines always hello fresh.. feel like it's telling me to step away from just eat Grin

Ami is the mother of a child who should blatantly be in a bed if he keeps escaping his cot , instead she is testing baby monitors Hmm
MarieDelaere · 22/03/2021 18:58

I really don't want Ami and her lifestyle, which I personally find annoying, thrown at me on every single page. That includes the visuals as much as the gadgets and behaviours.

There seems to be no way to evade it or turn it off.

I think if there was a way to turn it off or say 'no thanks' some posters might be less cross or inclined to be sardonic. They'd just click 'X' and move on.

But as BadKitten says, she's 'haunting' us.
