As above. Why have videos of 'Amy' and her baby started appearing in every single thread I open? It's very annoying. Am I expected to pay for Premium or something to stop this?! Thanks...

Hi @BringMeTea we're really sorry if it's annoying you! We're happy to pass your feedback over to the relevant team. Flowers

BringMeTea · 18/03/2021 13:48

Oh! It's a 'thing'? Gosh... thanks for clarification...

Yes, why on earth are these appearing? It's really annoying.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/03/2021 14:15

I've even accused/reported a specific poster of spamming!!!!!

When it comes underneath / within a personal issue thread or post it looks truly crass. I imagine 'Amy' wouldn't be all that pleased to see her video under a post giving advice on what to do about marital rape!

That's a REALLY bad move by your advertising placement team!

TeenMinusTests · 22/03/2021 14:19

I'm finding it intrusive too.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 22/03/2021 14:32

I thought it was linked by a poster too until I saw it on another thread, multiple times!

Very annoying.

Is it a permanent feature?

SoupDragon · 22/03/2021 14:38

I've just checked and it appears on threads on the miscarriage /pregnancy loss boards! That's totally inappropriate!

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/03/2021 14:41

Ye gods!

That poor woman. I hope it doesn't get her any negativity!

PatriciaHolm · 22/03/2021 14:42

It's just appeared on this thread for me. The irony.

I keep thinking it's someone spamming the boards.

SoupDragon · 22/03/2021 14:42

It's currently appearing in the middle of a Pregnancy thread right under someone talking about a loss (so it looks like their link)

emptyraspberry · 22/03/2021 15:04

@soniamumsnet
Please tell the relevant team that it is tiresome and annoying for the same thing to be popping up all over the place - sometimes in the most inappropriate of threads.

Could you please ask them to get rid of it asap.

Saucery · 22/03/2021 15:08

Eeurgh. I’m not in the demographic where Amy is relevant, interesting or pertinent to me, so it’s just irritating.
Even if I was, I’d get tired of her popping up in every damn thread I look at.
Wonder if there is an ad blocker I can pay for that would banish her?

emptyraspberry · 22/03/2021 15:09

Same thing on every damn thread. I've just seen another 4.

Too irritating, so I'm off.

Saucery · 22/03/2021 15:11

Not sure cake is a good thing to be promoting as a weaning food, either. Hmm

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/03/2021 15:12

I've had a slightly bemused response about the innocent poster I reported. They agreed it was misplaced!

So I suspect MNHQ are on to it!

SabrinaMorningstar · 22/03/2021 15:14

I reported them as spam because it looks as though they're part of the posts. If you must have ads in the middle of pages then surely they need to be clearly marked as ads and differentiated from posters' content? I thought the guidance on identifying ads was quite strict.

DawnMumsnet · 22/03/2021 15:22

Thanks for letting us know that these videos seem to be cropping up too frequently, within users' posts and in inappropriate topics. We're taking a look into this right now and will be back with a response as soon as possible.

PerkingFaintly · 22/03/2021 15:23

Oh thank goodness it's not just happening to me. First I thought it was a poster spamming dodgy links. Then I thought my machine had some weird virus.

CaribGrackle · 22/03/2021 15:23

This Ami? She'll be here for weeks. Over Xmas I had a video where a women popped up everywhere showing me how to make an Xmas Eve box!

Who is Amy? I don't have her visiting me. I feel left out!

bearlyactive · 22/03/2021 15:29

She's paying me a visit!

ememem84 · 22/03/2021 15:29

she's popped up on this thread too. guess she knew we were talking about her. . .

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2021 15:30

It is really really annoying.

I'm also not sure why I'm contributing to Mumsnet premium just to be spammed with very irritating and distracting videos while I'm reading a thread. I might as well cancel my subscription if you are going to ignore the one reason why many people like me subscribe - to support an add free version of mn.

dementedma · 22/03/2021 15:32

Another one finding it very annoying

SabrinaMorningstar · 22/03/2021 15:34

At least that one is labelled as an advertisement. The ones popping up everywhere today aren't labelled as ads.
