Repeated pop up attempts

Today, while browsing MN, I have had repeated warnings that the site is attempting to open a pop up window.

I’ve never had this before - what’s changed? Is it legit? I’ve blocked each pop up attempt, so no idea what it is trying to open, or why.

(I’m browsing using an iPad mini, on Safari, iOS 11.2ish)

Hi, yes it was after 9am.

Nicknacky on my.screen there are three dots on the top right hand corner, they bring up a list one of which is history. It then gives me the option to clear my history.

That’s weird, I’ve been getting these pop-ups too lately, but on other websites and never on MN.

Me too. Every bloody two minutes. I’ve turned pop ups off for safari now so that I can use the site as it was unusable.

The M&S advert on android (s7) mobile site is causing my freak out. Big black boxesI, repeating text and posts out of since. Is rendering the site unusable on my phone. I'm typing this and my text is flashing in time to the bloody advert.

Very sorry this is happening again, we have been trying to replicate, and I have blocked the URLs that have been reported. Please, can you let us know if the issue is still happening?

@B00dyM4ry - are you able to take a screen grab of the M&S advert that is causing you the problems? this will help me try and find it.

Still happening I’m afraid. Roughly every 30 seconds I get another pop up warning!

Cleared growing, reset password still all wonky. Only does it with M&S

so the advert is just appearing as a black box? Are you able to grab the web address of the advert when you click the black box?
