Now we will all be upset that we aren't important enough to be discussed

PandorasXbox · 25/08/2017 20:31

I guess all the posters defending Reddit are the ones who've been bitching then Hmm

Maudlinmaud · 25/08/2017 20:32

Pagwatch you're funny Grin

YouAndYourFloofyCatNose · 25/08/2017 20:32

I've reported my post as some of it is insensitive perhaps given the circumstances.
I just can't bear this "we aren't being mean just truthful" bollocks. Those threads are filled with meanness.

I'm going to watch Masterchef as even Gregg's gurning stupidity is more fun than this, tbh.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 25/08/2017 20:33

So many bloody hypocrites on here, duno which boiling my piss the most people slagging off Reddit users whilst hiding behind MN or moaning about Reddit users reading MN when you snooping yourself.

Grab a backbone and go slag them off over there.

Or maybe go back a read about the issues ex members and current members have with MN and come back with an opinion on that rather than just bitching about Reddit.

Your notice that some people have raised some very reasonable points

Valuedopinion · 25/08/2017 20:34

BackieJerkhart except it's not true. One person made a comment and was roundly told off. I really wouldn't take that synopsis as anything like the truth.

That poster seems to have an incredible depth of knowledge given how much she abhors it.

There is discussion of a poster who was considered to be a bully by many who for some reason was not banned.

PacificDogwod · 25/08/2017 20:35

What?! What?!

I am so confused!

Can't we all be friends?
Play nice??

Valuedopinion · 25/08/2017 20:35

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes, I know, unbelievable hypocrisy, presumably because they have been called out on their behaviour on there.

PacificDogwod · 25/08/2017 20:35

"tis the inter web.
It's not really, well, not really real.

I think I may not be offended because I just don't care enough Shock

I think the ctk thread only determined that ctk was not a troll, and that people liked her.
I think there is also a honeydragon thread that goes on to do the same.
I've not joined up to reddit yet, but have looked at both of the sub links. In all honesty, those two subs aren't currently of interest to me. However I did find some other reddit subs that are.
I don't want to lose the mn that I know, I hope it doesn't get to that. It does feel overly hard work atm though. Concur with the poster who mentioned conversation with family Shock

PandorasXbox · 25/08/2017 20:38

And what good would going over to Reddit to call out those who've bitched about you?

No thanks.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 25/08/2017 20:38

Pacific

Yes that and you are on your second wine

MadMags · 25/08/2017 20:38

Damn seriously, is it hard to function in your everyday life with your lips glued to Justine's arse?

@PandorasXbox

Having a group that's open to the public where posters ( and MNHQ ) are being slagged off isn't on and will only cause disharmony and mistrust. Especially if the Reddit users are coming back to MN to post.

I'm afraid I agree 100% with this (if only we had a like/ upvote button Smile). This current situation is inevitably going to end a lot of hurt and distress (and to some extent has already). It's one thing to slag me off, quite another to pick on individual mumsnet posters and moderators.

Clearly, though, there's absolutely nothing we can do about it, save not to look even when sent links (which I'm resolved to do henceforth). But I do think it's completely unreasonable to openly attack MN staff and MN posters on Reddit and then demand we engage with your opinions on how to run Mumsnet.

Valuedopinion · 25/08/2017 20:41

DixieNormas she did and it's a very low blow of that poster to try and use it to drum up trouble.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 25/08/2017 20:42

@dam TBH I honestly don't recall you having anything other to say that telling them to just fuckoff or reposting mods posts. Haven't seen any valid discussion from you.

It's Friday MN mods are out on the piss you efforts are going unnoticed. So you can join in discussion now

MadMags · 25/08/2017 20:43

A lot of it could have been avoided @justinemumsnet if you'd just listen to people's constructive criticism of your mods' actions!

Such a shame, really.

You have countless posters telling you their grievances and you're just nonchalantly ignoring it all.

As I said on the other thread; you don't have to care but it's not really on to pretend you do!

JustineMumsnet · 25/08/2017 20:43

BackieJerkhart except it's not true. One person made a comment and was roundly told off.

Thanks for clarifying.

This is all very weird and playground. I'm not sure if we're going to have any more clarification from HQ on why stratters was banned. (Although I think there definitely should be) but I think this thread will be deleted if it carries on with the "they said this on Reddit, no they didn't" stuff.

????

So now you're just jumping to the defence of your sycophants??

BackieJerkhart · 25/08/2017 20:46

Xpost with Justine.

Justine can you clarify the reason stratters was banned?

Maybe we've been slow on this, maybe we've made some wrong calls - my post earlier addressed some of the things we think we can't improve based on reading some of the feedback of the last couple of weeks. But I don't believe that justifies the level of nastiness that i've seen on Reddit, I really don't.

Circumlocutor · 25/08/2017 20:46

Has Friday night wine been consumed?
