Let alone post on them.

It's beyond a joke now, vast swathes of MN are now totally inaccessible to me. Can we PLEASE sort this out?

I'm having issues on my iPad 4 safari (and google browser)- the site becomes completely unresponsive at times and I'm unable to use touchscreen on any threads ( freezes on links) ! Also the site takes a long time to appear if at all at times.

There are also issues on my iPhone 6 too. Slow loading or just not being able to get onto the site.

All the issues are variable at times but really glitchy especially in this last week.

Iloveantiques · 02/03/2017 18:25

No access via safari or Firefox on iPad tonight. Posting this via the app.

Cantgetmyoldnameback · 02/03/2017 18:31

I've had severe problems for the last 2 days. On both my iPad and iPhone, using Safari on both. Like many others, a thread takes forever to load (and by that I mean it never actually fully loads no matter how long you wait), and only shows the first handful of posts. While the page is attempting to load, no links to other threads etc are clickable. I've effectively not been able to use MN at all, not even to browse.

In order to find this thread and post in it, I had to download the app.

Offler · 02/03/2017 18:42

Also having issues with Safari ☹️ A few posts load, then just hangs and only thing you can do is shut the tab. Have posts set to 50.

RustyBear · 02/03/2017 18:49

For me, it's definitely an ad problem. Since I put AdBlocker on my iPad this afternoon I've had no problems.

Just tried turning it off, and the delay/failure to load completely/unclickable links are back.
On again and it's ok, off and it's not...

DianaMemorialJam · 02/03/2017 18:51

I've been getting that too offler for the last week or two on safari. Sometimes I click on a thread, it freezes, I reload it then the page just goes white and won't reload so have to close and go back onto mn. Annoying!

SauvignonBlanche · 02/03/2017 19:22

MN is completely inaccessible on my IPad (safari) I can't open any bloody thing.
Every other site is just fine.

Posting this on my phone. Please sort this out MN! Angry

Offler · 02/03/2017 19:26

Just gone to the Google app on my iPad and seems to be working ok on that! (so far)

Sidge · 02/03/2017 19:35

I've downloaded AdBlock for my iPad and now I can load threads.

So it's definitely an ad problem.

Sort it out MN. I get that you need ads for financing but at least make sure they don't shag up your site!!

SealSong · 02/03/2017 19:46

MN is unusable on my ipad currently (ipad mini, desktop site, safari).
Pages won't load....can't get any further than the active convos page half-loading, with bottom half white, and the individual threads on it are not clickable. Gave up last night. So frustrating.

It's ok-ish on my laptop (chrome, desktop site, adblock enabled)

FuckyNell · 02/03/2017 19:47

Praise the lord thought it was just me

Seriously fucked off!

Batteriesallgone · 02/03/2017 19:58

I'm not getting a different browser. Im not fucking about with that. I have an iPhone I use safari just like every other mum I know! iPhones / iPads are no longer cool they are the preserve of middle age mums, like Facebook Grin mumsnet needs to be compatible with that or there's just no bloody point is there really.

Liara · 02/03/2017 20:05

Mine freezes really regularly too. Safari or Firefox on a Macbook pro (I try both, sometimes one works and the other doesn't, often neither does).

Offler · 02/03/2017 20:11

Downloaded Adblock too and all seems ok now on safari!

HarlotLipstick · 02/03/2017 20:11

Just taken me 25 fecking minutes to get to this page, iPad using safari (but did the same in google chrome app) been like this for a few days. Please sort it out!

RedGrapeCornSnake · 02/03/2017 20:15

iPad
Safari

Exactly the same issues with refusing to load, having to close down and reboot safari repeatedly. Haven't worked out how to limit posts per page but I'm loath to do that as I hate having to click next page on threads.

HungryHorace · 02/03/2017 20:27

Mini iPad using Safari and I've got exactly the same problem with pages half-loading. It's being doing it for a fair while and is seriously annoying.

Screen shot attached...a 9 post thread.

SLOW! It's so fucking slow now, I can't even get long threads to load any more
Yeahfine · 02/03/2017 20:41

Same for me. I thought it was my iPad.

SauvignonBlanche · 02/03/2017 20:46

I'm old and tired.
I don't understand what Puffin iWork Adblock.

My phone screen I'm currently using is to small even with my new glasses. I just want to MN on my iPad but I can't.

DH just spoke to me - come on MN, I'd no reason not to answer. Shock

Waterlemon · 02/03/2017 20:50

I'm using an old Ipad possibly 2nd generation with ios8 I think.

Whole site is really slow. When I click on a post I can see the op and whatever replies fit the screen but i cant scroll down as the site freezes then turns white . I can't even see any sidebars. If I try to leave the page nothing happens - the links no longer work and the little timer at top of page just twirls round

CharlieSierra · 02/03/2017 20:57

I've not been able to use on my iPad for 2 days. I emailed HQ today as I couldn't get on to report and they said load a different browser. No, not good enough. For some reason it's working on my phone, still using Safari.

LightastheBreeze · 02/03/2017 21:08

Just come on to say I thought there was something wrong with my iPad, Mumsnet won't load and keeps stopping my safari working. I had to clear all my website data, several times.
I'm on my MacBook now and it seems OK but cant use it on my iPad as it blocks everything up.

LightastheBreeze · 02/03/2017 21:16

Just had spinning ball of slowness on the MacBook now, so not working properly on that either, won't work on iPhone, just tried, using Safari on everything

AuntieStella · 02/03/2017 21:23

It's still pants on iPad.

And stuffs up on iPhone sometimes too.

MNHQ: it's been quite a while since any update on how the fault-fixing is going. What is the current estimate of his long it might take?

Do you have a target for how often you update users when the site simply isn't working on such a large slice of devices (Apple portables). Because even if there isn't much to say, that's better than silence
