Why is MN so slow?

I'm not moaning - honest!

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

Nothing just another side pop up saying it's in secure

MN is currently taking 20+ seconds to load for me (on 300 Mbps broadband!).

Are we sure this is really Mumsnet seeing as no one has been on from HQ to explain what's going on?

I tried on my laptop the other day and it wasn't https, and I was getting warnings from my computer. Also, I thought the screen looked weird.

This site has been ridiculously slow for a couple of weeks, almost unusable at times. I was also re-directed to a porn site on one occasion, which was nice. Safari / chrome on iPad. All other sites fine, Broadband fine.

I find it odd that MNHQ don't seem remotely interested in the fact that hundreds of users have flagged these issues up.

So just signed out and back in .... and the login page isn't https - it isn't secure...

In fact I am going to report my previous post - we do need to hear from MNHQ about this...

unlucky I have already done so, on my thread in AIBU, still no reply, I understand it takes time, however Caroline MN says logging in details are HTTPS secure... mine and many others are not.

Very slow on android mobile using chrome. Given up using app as it's even slower.

Yep yep. Android phone (Samsung s7) chrome browser. Hilariously taken me several attempts to get this thread open. Have found opening in a new tab speeds it up a bit but still very slow. Has been bad a few days but been unbearable the past hour of browsing. Thought it was WiFi but it's just as bad when I switch onto 4g. Not experiencing any issues on a handful of other websites I've been on. Luckily haven't had the porn pop ups (and I did get them when they were cropping up a few months back).

Very slow on android chrome mobile here too, plus an instance of the mega- large Netflix ad!

At least MN have jumped on the main issue of the poster who had a 'skin advert' issue. Sure we'll get looked at next...

It's horrendously slow. Might not bother. I mainly browse rather than post anyway.

MNHQ, I was logged out earlier this evening and logged back in using the email address and password I set up after Hackergate.
I then received the attached email to the email address I used to use for Mumsnet prior to the hack. I have not clicked on the link. What's going on?

Yahoo mail tells me that the email came from noreply*@news*.mumsnet.com

is the site under another phishing attack MN?

Without the *s - They weren't there when I cut and pasted the email address
