Why is MN so slow?

I'm not moaning - honest!

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

Hi, that sounds tedious for you - sorry to hear it's so slow. I take it you're using the app? Does the speed improve if you use a different browser?

Morning all. Thanks for all the reports and messages, which we appreciate. Our tech team has looked into the slow running of the site and that issue should now be resolved. Do please let us know if you have any more problems though, wont you?

The other issue which many of you have flagged up to us is concern over the security of the site. Again, we've been speaking to tech this morning and they've asked us to reassure you all that the login page is secure. When you submit your login details it is https and none of your details are compromised.

We hope that sets your minds at ease.

Hi everyone. The site was down for a little while. We flagged to tech who have worked quickly to resolve the problem. They are also keeping an eye on the speed issues. We totally appreciate how frustrating this is - thanks for your patience and we will keep you updated on any further developments via this thread.

Just to let you know, tech is aware and looking into fixing these issues, especially the annoying 'jump' that is making threads hard to read.
