Why is MN so slow?

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

Awful for me too the oats few days, safari on iPad.

Something is up with this site, it's been really slow for me too now for two days, it's getting painful to load pages.

Yes, truly awful tonight. It's alwats slow for me but tonight is extremely slow.
Gave up on laptop, Windows 10 Firefox and .Chrome.
Now on ipad using Safari and it's just as bad.
Pages taking 20 seconds+ to load.
Ready to give up altogether, have mentioned this on so many of these threads.

Makes interesting reading. Looks like the website itself is really slow, but there is a lot of random shit going on with the adverts too.

I had decided not to bother commenting and clicked to look on other threads in site stuff, but it was again laggy and kept reloading. So I've come back to say yes it's still tediously slow and unresponsive for me too.

Safari on iPad, fwiw.

I think the login page is HTTPS, but contains insecure elements (shitty adverts) hence why you don't get a padlock.

Today is the worst it has been for me, some pages are just not loading at all and being timed out. I used to use my Kindle Fire but gave up with that as it got slower, slower and then stopped.

No, your either HTTPS secure or not, padlock should show. Its how you know you are on a secure site.

Also just have pornography site when I asked for 'I'm watching', so going to switch off now.

Me too. Samsung Galaxy tablet & phone (both on Chrome browser), & a laptop on Windows Edge. Horribly slow. Pretty much all the probkems as stated by PPs. Frustrating.
