Why is MN so slow?

I'm not moaning - honest!

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

Yes, neither way of logging in is secure for me once I'm actually logged in!

Still really slow on iPad and iPhone. I keep having to reload both the main site and individual threads.

ARGH!! Took me about ten minutes to get into this thread.

The site doesn't need to be secure after you have logged in as you will not be entering anything "secret" . The actual login page should be secure though.

So slow fir me too.

Took several minutes to get this thread to load. Obviously nothing is being done over the weekend. Disappointing.

Also the mumsnet logo, top left, is fuzzy on part of site and crisp on others..only just noticed this bit of wierdness

Mine is painfully slow - I'm using the mobile site (not the app) on IPhone 7 Plus safari.

On mobile site from iPhone using my wifi and it's taking 1 minute + to get threads to load.

And I loathe the way the page jumps after the ads load at the top so that you click on the wrong thing, which then takes aaaaages to load and then go back and try again and the same thing happens and aaaargh!

Same for me, I'm afraid. On iPhone, using safari.

Ridiculously slow loading.
Ridiculously slow when I'm typing.
Getting 'cannot connect to server' errors, and 'Gateway timed out' errors.

Try to use words of 5 bits or less.

Fits down the cable better more good.

Painfully slow here too, on Safari on iPad. Has been like this for ,out of the week if not longer.

Keep getting the "gateway time out" message here too, on laptop and on mobile. And I have an ad blocker installed.

Kind of like they're looking into solving the 'user123457789' issue, despite being offered a completely doable solution a year or so ago? Has anyone ever said why the frankly genius two random word solution wouldn't work?

They can look at it all they like but are they fixing it?!

The random two word username solution worked fine for the first incarnation of Pottermore.

Running slow - almost at a standstill on iPad and iPhone on safari.
Had that gateway error thing as well plus a few times just a totally blank screen.

I thought it was just me! On safari on iPad. Driving me nuts, have to select everything twice or it just hangs. Stopped using it on Friday night as it was just blank pages.
