Why is MN so slow?

I'm not moaning - honest!

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

MN is always slow for me, but the past couple of days it's been slower than ever. Win 7, Chrome, running AdBlock.

I'm getting veeeery slow connection, but had this too. Am I right to be concerned that something else is going on with the site?? The icons at the bottom aren't right and the font is different. But just few seconds later, back to its (slow) new normal. Hmm

I can't see if anyone else has had or posted this as I cant get to other pages in this thread.

Oh my goodness it's so painfully slow and half the time fails to load. The cost benefit balance of trying to read a thread is starting to tip ever closer to not being worth the effort.

You need to get that device charged up, BA.

Another one running slow, and I have an ad blocker on. I click a page, then go to another site and come back when it's loaded up later. The site is becoming unusable though.

BA the icons changing to random symbols sometimes happens when the page is slow to load, it's something to do with them being based on wingdings.

Massively slow here. On Samsung phone using the mobile site on chrome. It's doing my head in.

Have stayed off here all evening due to how slow it is and it still isn't any better. Maybe less intrusive ads would help. It takes so long to load the active page because of the ads so you think you click on a thread only to find it is loading so slow that it has registered as clicking on the ad. Perhaps that is the reason this isn't being sorted. More clicks on the ads.

Slow here too, it's been poor for the last week or so but especially bad tonight.

Been grim at home on the laptop for some time.
Now away and using iPad on a connection that is 10x faster than home connection and its dire.

Still awful. One or two threads will load but most won't :(

Yes mine takes a while to appear too. It's an app on the iPad and iPhone.

You have to wait for it to load up. Never even thought of complaining because i put down to being Mn and how it works.

I doubt it ever loads up quickly.

I reported this thread earlier tonight - as in, the posters on here are RIGHT - and asked for any news.
