Why is MN so slow?

I'm not moaning - honest!

But Mumsnet s very slow - all the time. There's definitely nothing wrong with my internet, I have 200MB download and all other sites are fine.

I just wonder why this is? Are you throttled?

This is from quite a way upthread but I'm doing the same thing. All the damn time. It's so bloody slow. It is making me get fed up and go do something productive more often though, so cheers for that.

The stupid Fairy advert gets on the way all the time. It's too easy to accidentally click on it when scrolling down and once you've clicked, the endless wait starts

Slower than a slow thing here too. When you hit post it just whirrs away forever until you refresh (which also takes ages)

I'm on Windows 10 and Chrome and it is so slow for me. I am having no issues with any other site I am going on.

spoke too soon, as soon as I posted it became a nightmare again and couldn't get back on this thread to say that. Argh. Please mn sort it out, There is clearly something causing an issue.

So, the speed was better this morning, and I thought I'd click on this thread to say so. Unfortunately, MN promptly slowed down again.

There's probably some sort of irony here: I click on a thread to say MN is running well, and the site slows down.

Was okay this morning then started choking up again, 30 seconds to load a link. Every other site is lightning fast.

It seems very hit and miss for me. I can click a thread and it won't load in over a minute. Click it again and it loads almost immediately.

Yep I thought it was down as getting blank pages but now possibly faster than before
