This place seem just to be full of joysucking posts.

What's the benefit?

Just posts what want to be offended.

It will drive the levity away. It will it really will.

Even the fields remember the fun and freedom.

Sad

Get yourself a fugly 50p M&S recliner chair - MNing should be comfy of not as fun anymore.

MoonlightandRoses · 08/01/2014 22:27

At least tell me you read the punchline? (Admittedly I only managed a full reading with drink taken. Wine? Grin

Hassled · 08/01/2014 22:28

Eve - do dogs get thrush? Is she scratching an itch?

One of my neutered male cats (not the other one) humps a throw. Only the one throw. Is throw even a word? A sofa-blanket. Anyway - it's hot stuff for a cat.

Hassled · 08/01/2014 22:28

cyclepath :o

MarmaladeBatkins · 08/01/2014 22:28

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that cake actually does like like actual shit.

Hassled · 08/01/2014 22:29

Where's Reality?

LtEveDallas · 08/01/2014 22:30

Chaos, my name is really boring. Lt Eve Dallas is a character in a series of books. She's a kick-ass New York cop. I was going through a shitty patch years ago (bloke stuff) and decided to use her name to try and bolster myself. It kinda worked and now I'm used to her. I'll be NCing this year though - new start and all that.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 08/01/2014 22:31

Pseudobadger I think you are the perfect person to come across for a whole slew of questions I have. I hope you don't mind.

I really want to start with The Archers. Friends at work listen to it, and there is always a weekly synopsis in a magazine I read. I'm intrigued. I didn't grow up in England so I'd never heard of it before about 5 years ago. What should I do - just start listening? Would it help if I googled, read up on some of the history or do you reckon I will eventually pick it up? Is it hard to distinguish between the characters on the radio? How can I get DH interested so that he will turn of the goddamn television? It's a really long running show isn't it?

Whew. Sorry.

HeinzDoofenshmirtz · 08/01/2014 22:32

LtEve you absolutely must pm me your nc, I will miss you.

LtEveDallas · 08/01/2014 22:34

I don't know Hassled. She's sitting on top of it now with a grin on her face. She's very out of breath.

Oh God, is my throw the dog equivalent of a rampant rabbit? Does she do this every night when my back is turned?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 08/01/2014 22:34

Sorry Chaos for hijacking. Sort of. Can one hijack a chatty jokey thread?

PseudoBadger · 08/01/2014 22:36

:o

Start listening, it's quite good at the moment after a poor period. It waxes and wanes. I think if you read up too much beforehand it won't make much sense. Far better to listen and wonder why Will and Ed detest each other, or why it's ironic that Jess wanted her marriage to be just like Jenny's, and then look those details up.
I spent my first few months constantly asking my mum "who's that? Is that Shula or Elizabeth?" But you do get to recognise them pretty quickly.

Hassled · 08/01/2014 22:37

Hearts - I've listened to the Archers in a half-hearted background noise sort of way for years and years and I still don't get it. I never know who's talking or why. Someone's having an affair, and there's someone called Linda who's a kindly snob, I think. There's cheese, and turkeys. Basically it's baffling.

PseudoBadger · 08/01/2014 22:45

The scriptwriters helpfully include lines like "hello you two" so you know how many people are there :o

ChaosTrulyReigns · 08/01/2014 22:45

No alopogies required, HeartsTRu. I once hijacked my own thread. That was fun. Wink

Chaos, have you got a new phone then? Wink

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 08/01/2014 22:52

I've definitely seen Reality recently. The last week or so has blurred a bit though, so I'm not quite sure when

Sparklingbrook · 08/01/2014 22:54

We were having good fun on the Chinny Reckon thread.

LtEveDallas · 08/01/2014 22:58

Chaos, they are the "In Death" series by J D Robb (she writes romance as well, but I prefer a good murder).

Eve Dallas is a Cop, Rourke is her bloke (handsome, Irish, richest man in the world). Set in the future so lots of 'blasters' 'jet cars' 'trips off planet' stuff but really good murders/thriller stuff. Escapism with some death and raunchy sex - just what I needed Grin

I'm going to send sexed up dog to her bed now (and put throw in the wash). Night all.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 08/01/2014 22:59

I am allowed a new phone on or arfter the 21st of this month, Thumby.

Y to the fucking AY.

Humm, BTLOA, did you not like my goosing? Only the spesh earn it.

JaneEyresHeir · 08/01/2014 23:05

Eve your post about the dog's shenanigans reminded me of a comment my friend made about her dog many years ago 'Patch just got engaged to the sheepskin rug......'

Hearts you should check out PsuPsuPsudeo PseudoBadgers Archers' threads in Radio Addicts - great fun and very informative!
