But it doesn't work. I have mine customised to 25 per page and on along thread I'm watching it is STILL defaulting to 500 per page!

Deck, have a look at Customise. 'New' no longer has the one page option.

Zombie just looked at a thread she'd not opened before which has about 800 posts. It now has 2 pages - 500 posts on the first and the remainder on the second.

ZombieFromTheRealmOfGory · 11/12/2013 00:32

Nope. The Wavers fred is on 2 pages for Zombie.

mathanxiety · 11/12/2013 02:06

I hate this and I want it all on one page again. 500 isn't enough.

When I click on the last poster in Threads I'm On in hopes of getting to where I left off, it goes to the first page, and it's a pita to have to click on next or last page.

I.Hate.Pages

bruffin · 11/12/2013 08:22

I hate it as well. I want to go straight to the last post, not mess around going from page to page

evilgiraffe · 11/12/2013 08:45

I hate pages, even at 500 per page it's really irritating. Bring back all-on-one, please! :)

SconeForAStroll · 11/12/2013 09:04

Down With This Sort Of Thing!

ExcuseTypos · 11/12/2013 09:16

I can still get my threads all on one page.

Now I'm worried I'm missing out on something, they've changed everyone else's but left me out

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 11/12/2013 09:19

I'm fine.

What browsers and devices are you using?

Just bitching doesn't help tech at all.

Hello

Sorry you're annoyed by this.

We've been noting how many of you have been very, very irritated bv slow loading times across Talk - and this is one of the best ways of improving the site's performance. (Not just on mobile, but on all platforms.)

So we're hoping that the irritation of having to go to a second page will be allayed by a noticeable improvement for everyone in page loading times.

MN was always pretty unusual (we think?) in allowing such large threads to be displayed on a single page, and it was beginning to have a nasty effect on site functionality.

bruffin · 11/12/2013 09:30

The techs will know what they have changed. Its the same using both my pc using mozilla firefox and on my android phone.

Huitre · 11/12/2013 09:31

Um, not for me. It totally breaks the functionality of the site for me because I can no longer go to the last read post if it's on a second page. Couldn't you give us the option of pages or not pages again? Those who are experiencing significant delays in load times can opt for pages.

I know at least one other site that allows 1000 posts to be displayed at a time.
