Women presumably who don't have a certain sense of humour, or don't agree with certain (long standing) posters being described as beige admin workers who nag their ugly husbands, who were friendless at school, wear cheap clothes, have no fun in their sad little joyless lives etc etc Literally paragraphs and paragraphs of nastiness.

This is some of the most vile and misogynistic stuff I have ever read on MN from other women. These kind of comments normally come from trolls and MRA invasions. Is this really what MN has become? Does everyone think that this sort of shit should stand? What happened to the fucking sisterhood?

I am astounded to be quite honest.

Why has this become 'let's bash Hully'?

cestlesautres · 30/03/2013 19:56

I have certainly done plenty of it to my cost.

X post TSC.

McBalls · 30/03/2013 19:58

Dont have FB. Just for the record

MadameDefarge · 30/03/2013 19:59

well sort of mcb. but mn moves on as it should. posters churn and i dont expect anyone who has joined i the last two years while I worked myself into a total breakdown managed my little business to know me at all. and why should they? but i find my style might be a bit out of kilter with mn today.

MissAnnersley · 30/03/2013 19:59

Who is bashing Hully? She asked for examples and has been given them as far as I can see.

MissAnnersley · 30/03/2013 19:59

I don't have fb either.

Stepissue · 30/03/2013 20:00

I apologise if that came across as saying you were a horrible person Hully, I don't think that at all. I just think it's a bit disingenuous to say you haven't seen it when you've been on the threads Confused

McBalls · 30/03/2013 20:01

Me too. Was a massive loudmouth on here 6,7 years ago, took a long break and now have a not unpleasant detachment.

cestlesautres · 30/03/2013 20:01

A loudmouth? On MN? Surely not? Wink

McBalls · 30/03/2013 20:02

Arf!

lemonmuffin · 30/03/2013 20:04

Right Madame. I'll challenge you on your specific post below from the previous thread:

'I always imagine them in a house smaller than the one they wanted, a DH they settled for, quite commonplace children and a part-time job they loathe, with colleagues who avoid them because they never get a joke, and a small village community who avoid because they just don't know what to do the the Po in their midst'

Defend or apologise?

MadameDefarge · 30/03/2013 20:05

are there lots of facebook groupings? blimey. clearly i have no idea of the behind the scenes stuff. that feels scary.

MadameDefarge - you used to be one of the Shineys didn't you? I heard rumours there was a fb group... thought you would have known Confused

I could easily be mixing you up with someone else Smile

ginhag · 30/03/2013 20:08

STOP. FIGHTING.

I really want to bash everyone's heads together or something.

There are so many posters I admire on this thread, and apparently you all hate each other.

That's a bit bollocks really, innit.

And tbh, if mn is going to be as stressy as rl WHAT IS THE ACTUAL POINT OF IT AT ALL???

Sparklingbrook · 30/03/2013 20:10

I don't hate anyone, and I hope nobody hates me.

MN has an infighting thread from time to time, usually around bank holidays. It wouldn't be the same without one.

Sparklingbrook · 30/03/2013 20:12

Ooh I have never seen one before usual.

McBalls · 30/03/2013 20:13

I don't see that at all Ginhag.

I see, mostly, people just airing their different viewpoints.

There's nobody here I hate. Disagree with on this subject, absolutely but that's ok, I think. It's all pretty healthy IMO.

Massively disagree that dissent on t'other thread wouldn't have been ridiculed, for instance and Hully believes differently. That's not hate, not fighting. Just discussion.

Re FB groups... No idea.
