Why are some members of this site allowed to get away with persistently being vile, pushing an agenda, defending the indefensible, upsetting other members, twisting versions of events and generally being nasty, and they do not get banned?

Not about any one particular poster, but I have noticed that some stronger "personalities" on here seem to be Teflon coated.

Why is this?

Why do the owners of this site want that kind of vile poster and do not seem to care about the number of truly decent kind posters who are being upset and driven off the site?

I'm pretty sure you said the word friend? As in you consider her a friend on here? Well I didn't. Thank you for the apology, though, appreciated.

Why the hell would you have a copy of the thread?! How odd Not odd, sensible when you have been bitten by lies on here before. As I said yesterday to another poster:

sensible when someone has lied about what you have posted on here before

I knew the thread was going to be deleted, so on the offchance that some idiot would post something like "LeQ admitted to regularly smashing her husband and children in the face and LtEve said it was a lot of fun" I decided to make a copy

This is a wonderfully helpful, passive agressive place, and in the main I enjoy it, but not when people have to lie to bolster their point. Copying threads like that make me feel better, just in case

I've done it before on contentious threads, and I delete them after a while. So not odd, just protective

BIWI

I agree, accusations of 'Royalty', said in a sneery manner (as they always are) do more harm. If someone is going to say it, they should have the strength of character to just say who they mean.

It was who?

::wonders why she cares::

"LeQ admitted to regularly smashing her husband and children in the face and LtEve said it was a lot of fun"

^^

happybirthdayHiggs · 05/07/2012 09:01

Feel free to apologise for calling me a liar LtEve.

I'm meant it when I said I'm pretty sure it was you that mentioned 'friend' the sorry was just to cover myself.

Thinking about it you wrote the most thought out well constructed posts in defence of her that's why it stuck in my mind but hey I don't have a copy of the thread so ...

Re naming 'royalty' yeah ok!

Everyone who reads MN and 'gets' how it all works knows.

People have mentioned people they don't much like but haven't named them either. Why not name them? Because it could be construed as a PA as it would if me or anyone else named 'royalty' so I think that's why no names are mentioned.

Pinot · 05/07/2012 09:07

Oh it was leq. Ahhh.

traffichalter · 05/07/2012 09:11

Pretty clear from her username that LeQ considered herself MN Royalty. So there's a clue right there.

Hullygully · 05/07/2012 09:15

No she doesn't. Her name, like her whole online personality, is a construct. She puts a lot of people's backs up it's true, but she's all right really.

She is what she is and she is a part of MN. People know what she's like by now so why on earth pile in on her? Confused

GetOrfMoiiLand · 05/07/2012 09:16

Calling people royalty is just a snidey way of insulting a whole horde of posters without having to name names.

It's a load of bollocks and always has been so.

I think a lot of the anger on the leq thread was that when called on it, she was originally very flippant and pisstakey. I think that annoyed people more than the original posts. There were loads of posts on there which were a bit dodgy tbh but I do think leq's piss taking insouciance about what she was called on crossed the line a bit.

Re the deletion though, I have seen mnhq delete threads giving the reason 'well this has all turned into a bunfight so we are going to zap it' so think it probably fell under that.

Tee2072 · 05/07/2012 09:17

Oh. I thought LeQ was an example, not the actual OP.

That and the woman who kicked a giant toblerone down the drive.

Pinot · 05/07/2012 09:30

Lem I missed it AGAIN.

ginslinger · 05/07/2012 09:31

I'm not even sure that LeQ takes herself seriously. Apart from her F&B paint obvs.
